This is the half cab I was working on when I walked away back in March. It was intended to be a stock Wimbledon White half cab, however the paint and is very bad, very very bad. I was so aggravated I couldn’t continue.
Not sure what happened but it had bubbles and thick and hardly covered spots. Was thinking about taking my little dremel and taking out the bubble spots and brushing some rust colored paint on those spots and trying to get a weathered look. Thoughts? Anybody tried that? IMG_0606.jpg

I found this site that sell a bunch of add- on's for the Revell 1:25 ford bronco model. http://www.fireballmodels.info/ I'm going to build another one with a 3.5 inch lift with their family cage and setoff BFG'S.

One of my other attempts at creating a custom Bronco. I need to finish a couple and stop sticking them to the side part way done. Anyway this is intended to be a 2WD street rod/drag bronco. I have the rear done just not glued in place. Had to cut out the fuel tank and chop off the spring hangers and shock mounts. Used the rear end from a Mustang plastic kit and put the leaf springs inside the frame rails. Next is to get the front straight axle done with the desired ride height and be able to put a Ford 427 Fuel Injected engine and have the hood fit. I'm hoping to use the center section of the Mustang hood grafted into the bronco hood. The shock towers and all the inner fender apron stuff will be removed. Didn't really want to show it this premature but it helps to motivate me. And hopefully I don't screw the paint up on this one.

Update on my custom 2WD, wasn't able to use the center of the Mustang hood but I have made some progress. Been trying real hard for this not to be a "curbside" model. The top and windshield still yet to complete (just sitting on it for the pic) and considering redoing the rear bumper like the front, I narrowed and raised the front bumper closer to the body.

Thanks guys, wasn't too sure how well it would be received by some of the purists being a 2WD, but I did keep it all Ford. This was a lot of fun.

Nice work.. I still have two of these in unopened boxes.. No time. Plus, I figured I would wait until mine is done so I can match one to it.

Very cool! I like it and I consider myself more of a purist.

I am too when t comes to Chevy motor in a classic, I would never do it but it doesn't bother me when somebody else does. Took a pic with it loaded up behind my 1966 F100, I like the way it looks.
