Well I guess I can start a rebuild thread as bad as I hate to. I originally started out just going to fix it up a bit and enjoy it but that has turned into a frame off now I guess. Oh well it doesn't hurt to do it right. So far I have welded new floor pans in and installed a disc break conversion kit on the front and rebuilt the drums on the rear. Seats are recovered. So that being said I have done things out of order but I think I am going to get on the right track. This weekend I started building the door braces so that I can get the body off. I have a guy that is going to come and media blast the frame and body. I have ordered all the new parts that I need and they are sitting there ready to be installed. I am pumped about this at the same time scared to death since I have never done anything like this. One thing I can say for sure is that this classic broncos forum is the BOMB and there are some pretty awesome people on here that will help you when you need any questions answered. Anyway here are a few pics and I will do my best to keep it updated as I go along.

Brent

Got the passenger side door brace put in today. Also got the passenger rocker off. Took the tailgate off and the rear bumper off as well. Getting closer to lifting the body off!!! Slow and steady wins the race right????

Today's work

Got the grill off and the drivers side rocker panel area sandblasted and primed. Ready to install the new rocker. Also finished my bracing. Getting closer to putting it on the Rotissery.

Started fitting and getting the rocker panels ready to install. Having a bit of trouble with them fitting correctly. Hopefully I can figure it out.

Trying to get everything fitted together so I can weld my rocker panels in. Well I put the new fenders on and this is what I have. I hope you can tell from the pics. They are not lining up to well. anyone else have this problem with aftermarket fenders. If so how did you fix?

Update

Well I started grinding the bondo out of the bronco and I am glad I did. There was some major rust underneath all of the old bondo. I also got my new door hung that I got from a member on here. Slow and steady wins the race right!!

Bit the bullet and ordered new rockers from Dennis Carpenter since the dynacorn rockers I ordered did not fit well and guess what..... the Dennis Carpenter rockers fit like a glove. So glad this is over. now to get them welded in and get this thing on the rotisserie.
