finally got a pic of my new lights and cattle guard. Incredible difference at night with these on.

You mean with the Daylighters on, or with the new style headlights?
How do you like the beam pattern on the headlights? I think you were talking about this recently? Or was that someone else's thread I'm thinking of?

By the way, is that a late '72 or '73 Bronco?
Just curious because a two buddies had license plates GLQ and HAC on their '72's. Looks like yours was not that long after the HAC.

Thanks

Paul

It's actually a 70. The original owner had a special plate or something like that, maybe actually a dealer plate? and finally got the plate on it in 72 I think. I talked with her about it.
As to the headlights I'm still not sure. Too blue for me so far. I think I'll swap out the bulbs for a higher light so it's more white. As to the daylighers they're amazing. 130watt and just light up the whole night. Well worth it if you don't have any off road lights.

I hooked up the supercharger and let the Holley ECM learning algorithms chew on that for a while...throttle response is insane for an ole 4.0...just wicked fast. Going for a test drive soon.

Cut out a trailer hitch that was welded to the frame. Removed bad gas tank. Ordered more parts....drank a beer.

I also had to put the steering wheel back on as its going to a fab shop for some work tomorrow. Its an auto column and shifts through the gears fine but won't go into park after reinstalling the shift collar and signal flange. Lockout plate issue? Those TBolts sure are fun...

can't wait to see the end product....

Installed some windshield washer squirter. It did not have one ,got it all hooked up Worked great. I needed to run up to the store so I figured I would take the Bronco. Got down the road and all I see is Blue ....... I forgot to pin my hood down . I’m running a fiberglass hood. Thanks God the only thing happened is the hood is done it could have been a lot worse.

Having to replace the hood sucks but it could have a lot worse.

Reinstalled the gas tank. Took it for a spin. Hopefully the sending unit seal I replaced doesn't leak. Good so far.

Had a good bit of progress in the last two weeks. Installed the front kit of the 6 point cage, turnbuckles to windshield, throwout bearing, pilot bearing, cherokee wiper arms, and installed heater switches. I've had 3 holes in the dash the entire time I've had this thing (7 years) and finally got those filled with the right controls. The fan even worked! I have the wires crossed so its low-off-high but I should have that taken care of tonight. I'm missing the floor-door at the bottom by the gas pedal but at least the system works! Now I'm chasing some oil issues but that's another thread!

Rebuilt my new to me XD9000i Warn winch. New solenoids, cleaned and replaced the grease in the gearcase and painted. Now I’m waiting on the stickers and wire boots to come in. Then I’ll use my synthetic rope one it and mount it on the Bronco!

Glad you are OK, Blue71 had that happen with a steel hood and it folded over top of the windshield and almost knocked him out. This is a great time to either reinstall the factory safety catch or upgrade to the push pin hood latches Duffs sells. No more forget to pin, when you drop the hood they latch but with the convenience of hood pins.
