i searched this forum pretty good, and get a variance of answers.

it seems 15 x 7 is the stock size. i'm only gonna be running stock radial tires - anywhere from 205 to 235 75 15. just a street truck.

and would the backspacing need to be adjusted?? (3.75 is the standard)

i've asked in previous posts, but i found some better rims. not much selection with 15 x 7s.

thanks as always

I've installed 17x8 rims (American Racing Baja) with uncut fenders. But the rims have a 4.5" Back Spacing. I can also fit a 265x70x17 easily with a mild 2" lift and the top of the tire is still inside the rear fender. With your smaller tire you may not need the lift to clear.

There are some steel wheels that can be special ordered to any backspacing you want - 15x8s. Stockton wheel makes one that looks stock and can still use the factory hubcap.

Hope this helps

I ran 8" wheels and had minimal rubbing with L78x15" all terrain tires. The wheels were stock 78 bronco spokes.
