love the craigslist post - hilarious - you may get someone to take that!

LOL! I already did. I reposted the ad for you all. Post something for free on CL and it's gone. Doesn't matter what it is. Somebody will take it. (of course they're probably casing your house at the same time but....)

PS. Just to add to the issue above. Front Diff was original, geared 3.90:1 rear was 3.54:1. Can't wait to tear into the transfer case.%)

Not on a Bronco, but when we bought a 1929 Ford Model A Tudor Sedan it would drip gas constantly from the carb when the engine wasn't running unless the fuel line was shut off (gravity feed with no fuel pump).

We pulled the carb apart and found a damaged gasket and a bent float, so the needle valve never shut off and then it would leak out the damaged gasket.

Simple enough fix, but then the engine wouldn't start. We figured it had to be fuel related (always check the last fools work) so we chased the fuel path through the carb. Found out there was a fuel passage that had never been drilled out! Some clever PO had figured out that making the carb overflow in just the right place would let it run! Had to be that way since the carb was new (but no idea when that carb was installed, I'm hoping it wasn't in 1929!).

So we did our own Bubba fix and drilled through the side of the carb to drill out the missing passage. Then we hammered a lead fishing sinker into the side of the carb so it wouldn't leak there. Perfect!

This is what the floor brace looked like when I got started on my Bronco! Only part that wasn’t rusted!

Almost forgot to add, someone had used that same roll of red wire to make a wiring harness. Ground wires, hot wires, all red.

How to make a 6" lift with stock shocks and springs. Brake line too long, tie a knot in it.

Nothing special but when I broke a limiting strap we welded a length of chain on and it is still there two years later. Rat rod!

I had a 71 that had spray can foam kick panels! Someone just filled the void and then shaped it with a saw blade. Had a 68 that had 2" pipe sections put in on top of the body mounts for a body lift.
That one above with the pipe welded in lift is scary!!!

In '72 I worked in a Chevrolet garage. My first job was a doing recall repairs. The biggest recall was for motor mounts that didn't have the safety hook. We installed cable engine hold-down kits from the exhaust manifolds to the A-arms. It was a really cheesy fix, and couldn't have cost much less than the improved motor mounts.
