Well, here goes nothing......PRICE DROP TO $17,500 AND NOT A PENNY LESS

Selling my '68. Bought in March of 2010 from the high desert country of SE Oregon - minimal rust! Gets garaged every Oct - Apr here, so NO SALT ADDED!

Had 74,271 miles on it when I got it, now a measly 75,558!!! Driven only 1200+ miles in 8 years
Had 36" tires, now 33 X 12.5 X 15 Duratracs (bought new)
351 Windsor
3:50 gears
Dana 30 front, 9" rear
5 1/" suspension lift (has blocks in the rear - bought it that way)

I have done the following:

NEW Chevy disc conversion up front w/ Warn premium hubs
NEW TBP power steering set up - top of their line when I bought it
NEW TBP power brake set up
NEW rcmbronc front bumper w/ smittybuilt 8000 lb winch
NEW rcmbronc rear bumper w/ tire carrier & NEW Duratrac spare
rcmbronc tube doors w/ NEW stainless quick-change hinges
NEW WH twin sticks (T shift - not totally modified for independent shifting)
NV3550 low-mileage (20,000+) tranny
NEW body bushings
NEW Edelbrock 1405 carb/air filter
intermittant wipers
Fox body Mustang buckets
3rd row Explorer seats in rear
NEW parchment Rampage soft top
gray Rampage soft top = needs restitching
NEW rear drum brake parts
NEW WH stock-looking tach
New Rampage (?) waterproof cover
NEW Bully steps
NEW H4 headlights (I think) with harness

Still have:
original doors w/ removable window frames
original 3 speed tranny
original front drum parts
original lockouts

hood scoop
odds-n-ends

ISSUES:

headlights quit working about 1 month ago - have brand new replacements - haven't tried to find problem

front floor pans rusted & 'repaired' by previous owner - have replacement pans

rear quarter seams have rust (pictures aren't the best)

minimal surface rust

anti freeze leak

e-brake bracket to frame needs replaced - have replacement part

hi-beam indicator light doesn't work

gauge cluster back-lite is 'finicky' but works

wiring under hood is 'ugly' but functional

needs new carpet

paint is so-so.......20 footer

IT IS A DRIVER, NOT A SHOW CAR

I may have missed something - most likely did. Have receipts for most if not all NEW parts.

CLEAR title in my name. Asking $17,500, and not a penny less

PICS (50 or so) to follow

Oh wow! Just saw this. Hey my friend, sorry to see this beauty is for sale. Folks, I can vouch for this one, this is a meticulously built rig. It's very similar to mine. This man is legit and honest as they come. He bought some parts from me and I can say that this rig is capable and worth every penny. I wish you all the best of luck my friend. Jim

Great looking rig and looks like it’s certainly worth $20k all day, but I’m not looking to buy. I think you should put the doors back on it and try to make it look more like a street rig rather than trail. Additionally, I would try to fix every gremlin you can to get asking price. Hope this helps. O-H

Bogar, thanks for the input.

Not meant to be a trail rig - it isn't!

It is a 'fair weather rig' - only driven in nice weather.

Hence the tube doors and partial soft top.

BUT, I get your comments!!!

ya, since you asked....

at first glance it does look like a bit of a trail rig. I'm exactly the kind of guy coming into the market these days and I would have passed on this one at first glance cause it looks like it wouldn't be as street friendly as something more original.

that said, looking more closely it's clear this is a nice road rider. your first several pics (especially the ones with the metal doors which I hate) skew a certain direction.
