• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

I remember seeing this in the old KbarS catalogs, pretty cool. This rig was listed on a Bronco Facebook page a few months back for sale at half the current price, it was non-running at that time. Somebody is gonna make a quick flip and double their money.

Before we lose the info & photos

1967 FORD BRONCO

KbarS built this 67 back in 82. This is one of their earliest builds. "SHORTY II" was highlighted in several of their catalogs & 4x4 magazines in the 80s. Only a handful of these remain in their orig condition/paint.
If you are a fan of a nostalgic Bronco... read on.

1967 U15 half-cab - clean NV title
Orig steel, no accidents, but a few dents, & has a nice patina w/ orig lettering.
3 owners, always been in Vegas... factory color is white.

351w (needs a rebuild... floated a valve)
Weiand intake, Holley 650cfm, headers w/ cut-outs.
4spd Top-loader
D20
p/s
p/b
Ford 9 31spl Detroit
D44 drum L/S
4.56 gears
KbarS 3" suspension
33 BFGs on chrome steelies
poly body mounts
custom roll bar
new glass hood
orig seats
NO RUST, but pans are starting to rot because of the wool mat under the rubber mat.
bed has sending unit access panel
winch bumper w/ new Warn 8k winch.(will sell separate for $950obo)

Everything works, except engine. I will rebuild it, if it doesn't sell this month.... Located in Las Vegas.
This is an amazing example of how early broncos were built in the 80s/90s.

22k

It will go on ebay soon, so if you're looking for a solid Bronco w/ a cool backstory, then contact me ASAP.

If I had the money, I'd pick it up. I remember being 21 and heading to KBarS in Vegas. I was just impressed with their showroom, customer service and overall humbleness.

Good call on saving the pics but might be a good idea to drop the seller's phone number so he doesn't get a bunch of loons calling him about it 5 years after the sale....

rant on............
Yes, I'm still selling this 67 & no i'm not misrepresenting anything. It's in amazing condition. I'm sure some people assume that i'm just flipping it for a quick buck... however, this is not the case or I would have sold it already(was offered 12k). I'm not interested in arguing w/ some web wheelers about justifying the price either. They all think they're experts, but have only owned 1 ...or none. The market for Broncos is at it's highest level ever! I spoke at length w/ the guy who bought the green uncut for 198k at Barrett a few months ago. I was happy for him. He is a new Bronco fan & had the $... plain & simple supply & demand.
The ShortyII story is... the owner (since 91) was 3 days away from losing it for an $800 storage fee & is struggling w/ health issues & other life stuff. I've known him since the late 80s when i worked for KbarS. We used to wheel together & raced Broncos in the local sand drags. I helped him out of a bind to keep him from losing it. He was trying to sell it quickly 6mo ago, but really wanted to keep it. Life happens & he still needed to sell it, so i recently bought it.
I've owned 20+ early broncos & hate seeing them turned into show cars. I love the ones w/ stories. We have all seen #001 roll onto the scene, as well as the Boss Bronco. I think #001 should remain in it's current form but i don't own it. Seth @ Gateway told me he's gonna restore it. His work is amazing btw. I would hope that ShortyII will remain true to it's history but, whoever buys it gets to decide. I sold a rust free 9/65 U13 w/ eyebrow grill, to a guy last year & he's building a SEMA type monstrosity out of it... Oh well.
I think the story is worth something, & even if it's not... a 99% rust free, all OEM steel, 1/2cab, w/ 351w, toploader 4spd, 4.56/Detroit/31spl, 4turn p/s, 23g tank, D44, 3" lift on 33s is still worth more than all of these rustbuckets selling for 10k. I saw 6 go for 30k at Barrett that were "lipstick on a pig" types. New paint on top of rusty chassis, man. steering, 3spds, & D30s. People like them & are willing to pay a premium... so stop hatin' & get over it.
I'm currently rebuilding the 351w & the interior. It's an awesome piece of Bronco heritage & I'm trying to keep it that way. Hell.. i might even keep it if i didn't have 7 others. I just rcvd the Marti report. It turns 51 on Feb10. Orig 289/3spd wht. 3 owners since it was built by KbarS in 82 & i know 2 of them. 22k is the asking price, but i'd be happy to entertain offers. Stop by when in Vegas or call me anytime. I love talking Broncos.
...rant off
