Snagged some rear Explorer seats and mounted them up to a stock rear frame. Much more comfortable and total cost was about $100.

They’re actually from current generation Police Explorers. The middle seats are replaced with the plastic one piece seat. Two 40% sections fit just right.

/\/\ They pull out brand new seats and replace them with drunk proof hard plastic, then sell the new seats.

Did you source them from the same place?

Do you have a link if you got them online?

I cut the armrest and backrest supports off as well as the lip on the stock seat frame. Some L-channel sandwiched in for support and just ran new bolts through all of it. The green and tan seat cushions have gone to the big upholstery shop in the sky.

I have a Denver Police friend here that hooked me up with the guy that retrofits the seats. Call your local PD to find some.

The original seat looks better in the picture than it was in reality. I looked for a frame only, but this is what I could get locally. I still have my stock rear seat to match the fronts. I’ll pass those along to someone as a set when I get my front buckets installed.

The police seats do not come with headrests. You could use regular explorer seats, but finding a pair would’ve been more difficult and much more expensive I’m guessing. They also have a more pronounced curve on the passenger side of the seat back. These are closer to square on both sides of the back.

Are they going to be able to fold down and/or tumble forward?

Eventually I will try and make them tumble, it shouldn’t be difficult. Right now they just fold.

Wow,those are nice. Did you have any problems with the seatbelt install? It looks like they could be used in the front too, very nice work. ;)
