Inner kick panel nuts / Door limiting strap hardware 'stripped'

The nuts used to attach the door limiting strap hardware to the inner kick panel are stripped on my bronco. What is the easiest way to solve this problem and get the hardware attached. Thank you.

You may be able to run a tap or thread chase through them.

If they are stripped out very bad you could jump up a size in bolt and drill and tap them. You will have to drill a larger hole in the strap plate too but I think there is plenty of steel there.

I used nutserts to repair mine.
