I love those mirrors. I just wanted to know the temperature outside while I was driving. I couldnt buy a make-it-yourself pcb kit for the $20 I spent on that mirror. Ended up putting 3 of them in different vehicles. Only extra feature if I could find it would be some map lights.

I looked and looked....I was never able to find one with compass, temp, & map lights. You can find compass and map lights, but no temp and map lights or compass, temp & map lights. If you do find an application, please share. Thanks.

Pulled the rear mat

After 43 years, the rear mat came out in one piece. Lots of my grandpa’s farm dirt and a little surface rust underneath.

I wanted to plumb in an auxiliary transmission cooler to help the stock cooler in the radiator. Got one off an Explorer but the factory mount wouldn’t work without some cutting/welding. I found these antenna brackets and thought they might work. Turns out they were perfect. The larger hole fit right onto the cooler and allowed me to mount the cooler to the core support. Next up is tying the cooler into the return line to the C4

... Well SNAKE BITE GOT a new fuel tank yesterday. Well it was a fuel tank a friend here on THE CLASSIC SENT me. .. SO It was hot this summer & I never felt like getting it installed . .. But Wednesday evening I got some help & I almost let him do it all. I fetched tools for him.
.. But in about an hour & a half we had the fuel tank installed in my Snake Bite ..
We only got Bit by a small snake...
... When He got into the install & the 2 sending units were different .. i SAID JUST CHANGE THEM OUT. He says but the ORING Will leak.
No Problem .. I go to my junk draw under my house computer . & I had a package with 2 O'RINGS in it.. That package was marked 2012... Yes I had plans to fix my fuel gauge.
So then I went & FILLED IT UP .
MINE IS A DIESEL . & I'VE BEEN fighting an air leak or getting air into the Fuel supply line back before the fuel tank change. & I'LL ADMIT THE 1ST START UP seemed like I still had an air leak. ''AKA LONG START TIME''. SO LAST NIGHT I started it & It took several times to start . But tonight . I hit it & That little 4BT BUSTED ON 1ST TURN. I sure hope It continues to start this fast.
.... It's too sweet to not start fast.
.. Since it's been raining every evening for a week .
I haven't driven it . But I'm ready to get back into the pasture.. &
Taco want's to go for a ride on the TACO TRAY.

Boat load of body parts came in Friday, hopefully the fun starts next week! Attempted to install power steering box, have to drill holes, found drill, can't find bits...found bits...all 3 batteries dead, I'll wait another day. Went on to install exaust, not enough room between the pto and transmission cross member support bracket. Need to trim the bracket... Batteries for reciprocating saw (different batteries) dead.... 3 hrs of my life I will never get back.... Had a few beers, all is better now!
