Exhaust exit locations

I'm getting ready to have my exhaust done on the Bronco and am going to be running both pipes down the passenger side. I can't decide how I want them to end, so I was hoping you all could share some pictures. I may just have them dump behind the rear axle but part of me thinks I want to do something like the raptors exhaust.

Current setup: 302, ZF, NP205

Running Magnaflows and Bronco Hut headers

Don't dump after the axle. Go outside the body line. Under the truck will resonate off the ground and bounce back up to the floor. The floor is now a speaker.

That was kind of the idea haha. The 03 Cobra I had before had dumps and I loved the way it sounded. It was also only inches off the ground. I'm more or less looking for sound and a clean look.

The other reason to have the exhaust exit outside the body line is you don't want the fumes to rise into the Bronco every time you stop.

Another bad thing about turn downs is it blows up a lot of dust on the trail if it is dry.

I can definitely attest to that... Gets annoying

I ran my single out the Pass side also, but a little higher than Kane's.

My 2 into 1 dumps through the slider also. I'll post a pic as soon as I renew my contributor status!%)

Guess I'll have to measure, I don't know if a 2 1/2" pipe will fit between the body and the frame with a 1" body lift

I think that would be too tight and you wouldn't be able to leave any space for the exhaust to get any air flow around it. It would probably get the floor back there pretty hot.

Yeah, thats what I was thinking. If I routed it close to the body mount with that big step I may be able to do it. I just don't want to do a bigger body lift specifically for exhaust

The good news is that most of the time during normal driving, the exhaust tubing that far back doesn't get hot enough to hurt much. You still don't want to touch it if you can avoid it, but it's not going to melt stuff.
But after a long freeway blast... Who knows.

I've got two 2.25-inchers back there, without a body lift at first, so there is room enough for some stuff to get through.
