1. Installed a fire extinguisher in a smittybilt roll bar holder in the bronco
2. Worked on my new Dash Layout
3. Ordered lots of parts
4. Decided against the BCB soft top. I just can't justify the expense. Sorry.
5. Started cleaning the garage for space for the re-wire
6. May be buying a 76 CJ7 for my wife.

Oh, yeah. And preached at church tonight.

Whatever needs to happen, You got it under control man....

deep breaths...

1. Well, I was going to take it to get registered, which is about 25 minutes away, but in a moment of wisdom I called the DMV to see if I could drive it over there with no tags and got an ABSOLUTELY NOT! If the police pull you over your car will get impounded and good luck getting it out. So I took my wife's car over, got a "trip permit" so I can drive it over tomorrow.
2. Took it to get an alignment done, but because of a previous "repair" to a ButtStank issue, the steering box is loose and I have to fix that.
3. A spring somehow slipped off one of the drum brakes and I had to redo one side of the brakes again
4. Now my headlights don't work, but my parking brakes do.

I'm rethinking my plan of attack now.

Lots to do tomorrow.

1. Ordered all the additional parts for the Serpentine conversion
B. The reinforcement bracket that holds the steering box to the frame was loose, so alignment was not possible. So, I added lock washers and tightened those bastages down.
Q. Tried to adjust my hood striker. Wouldn't budge. Overnight PB blaster.
&. Ordered u-joints for the rear drive-shaft.
13. Picked up oil for EVERYTHING (axles, engine, trans, transfer case, flux capacitor
ZZ. Worked on my dash design.

Next Big step: Serp Conversion.

Just for fun: a kitten meme to see if anyone is reading this!

Alignment done. Drives so much better
Used it as a work truck to pick up reclaimed lumber for the tables I build
Ran down the headlight problem
My wife it for the first time in years!

You might want to consider installing a 2nd extinguisher. I've read more than one story here and elsewhere where one was not enough. I have one readily available up front and another tucked in behind the driver's seat. ...good to see wifey behind the wheel and keep on preachin' brotha!

Today's Plan:

  • Remove, clean and paint rear drive shaft
  • Replace rear drive shaft u-joints
  • Move the water temp sensor to a different spot on the intake
  • Change the heater hose connection on the intake
  • Organize all the parts for the Serpentine Conversion (I have everything
but the actually kit
  • Make instructions (steps for the actual conversion)
  • Change fender bolts under hood to non-$#%@ looking ones.
  • Clean and pressure watch some of the underside
  • Install new flat black air filter with orange 302 sticker
  • Possibly order blank dash, with cut-outs, and all switches, bezels, knobs, and A/C vents.
  • GET HER READY FOR HER FIRST LOCAL CAR SHOW TOMORROW NIGHT!!!

Changing U-Joints. My bench vise isn't big enough. So I bought a big C-Clamp from Napa. It's a LIAR WHINER IDIOT POS STUPID!

Tried using it on just one U joint, and this happened.

Ended up using my best friend's snap on U Joint Press.
