• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

I am brand new to the forum and in search for my first early bronco. I have been lurking on the site for the past week or so and figured I would reach out for some guidance in the buying process (prices seem all over the place).

Would this be a good buy for 26k? Or should I continue my search? I am able to go see it in person, as it is fairly local. I know the bed liner paint job would be tough to change down the road, but like the look for now. Thanks for the help!

I hate that they painted over so much in the engine bay, just doesn't look like good quality work. The lining of the outside of the body is an absolute disaster unless it's just a dedicated off-road truck. If it were me I'd keep looking.

I will see if I can get a better front interior pic. And it will not be an off-road vehicle, I see what you are saying though about the liner

They painted the chrome trim around the grill? Hard to tell for sure, but they have some $$ tied up in accessories - soft top, tires, upholstery, center console, EFI and Explorer front, suspension, tires, shocks, etc. I don't know what's going on with that electric fuel pump on the fender well, I think that's dangerous as hell. Not to mention all that electrical stuff right behind it. The problem is the core of the Bronco that they added everything to. What's is really like? Seems like a solid wheeler, but not $26,000. I'd say keep looking.

Haha wow, that is awesome.

Update: I ended up purchasing a 1966 bronco yesterday. I’m excited to learn all about her.

Congrats. Mine is also a 66. I spent a little time at Ole Miss myself...

Another Baton Rougian got lost and ended up in Oxford? I played baseball there in 2010-11 and had an absolute blast. Good to get out of BR for a couple of years.

Here is a link to the ebay bid that i won. Don't have it yet, but i will send more pics once i get it. From what i've seen out there, the price seems to be fair for a frame off resto, but i'm also no expert on EB's.

I did not want a project car, but something turn key (too many hobbies already). let me know if the link does not work.

I am open to suggestions and/or criticisms as well.

I do not care for the mirrors, window tint, or the front seats. But i can live with it for now.

I like it. I Love the LUBr Look (Lifted Uncut Bronco).
I like the fact that its been made into an automatic, but don't care for the auto. floor shifter.
Looks like it's missing the front driveshaft from the pics?
In My Opinion...This looks like a Black rattle can undercoating, Not a frame off restoration?
Lots of places look to have been taped over and painted instead of removing, painting, and re-installing.(ie:Top,Rubber,Windows?)

All in all, If you feel good about it, That's all that matters in the end!
Cool Bronco!

Cool Bronco!

Thank you for your observations/opinions! I see the window rubber where there is white paint on it now. Definitely looks like it was just taped off and painted. Good eye!

Here is a quote from his description. I assume this is the driveshaft you are talking about?? Not very well written...

"its missing nothing Im aware of only the front original 4x4 drive shaft is off but comes with bronco along with extra gears ready put back on i have pics can send to ...everything in 100% working condition comes with everything to shaft was removed to put other gears in front but didn't get around to it...its all there to work and engage properly with shaft back on..."

There was a bunch of discussion on this one on Facebook and other places. Overall looks fair, you would be hard pressed to get a full frame off perfect Bronco anywhere near that price. It has a good look and the guys here can help you fix anything you need help with. IMHO much better than the one you posted and should make a great ride.

Yeah, now looking closer at it and figuring the price, it is unlikely it was a full blown frame off resto. Thanks for the feedback, it is greatly appreciated, as i do not have the trained eye yet for these vehicles.

What was the general consensus on facebook and other places? Good, bad, fair?

The blue one you bought looks great! Hope to see you on the road some day!
