Anyone have a picture of what the original valve covers would look like on a 67 289? Mine are black and not sure if they are original or not. Have also seen the ford Blue that have Ford inscription in them.

I bought this '67 from the original owner. Engine is not original, but I'm about as certain as I can be that the valve covers and other accessories would have been swapped over to the new engine from the original.

I thought 67 valve covers were plain without the powered by Ford script

My 68 valve covers the photos from thegreatjustino and I am pretty certain they are original. Blue paint, Power by Ford script stamped into cover (no white paint on lettering)

Original valve covers from Ford say Power by Ford

Some aftermarket valve covers say Powered by Ford

Ford is well known for being protective of their trademarks.

66 & 67 did not have Power by Ford. Hence the reason that all of us who've posted with original '67s have said our valve covers are smooth with no lettering.
