Anyone have a picture of what the original valve covers would look like on a 67 289? Mine are black and not sure if they are original or not. Have also seen the ford Blue that have Ford inscription in them.
I bought this '67 from the original owner. Engine is not original, but I'm about as certain as I can be that the valve covers and other accessories would have been swapped over to the new engine from the original.
i have a pair of original valve covers that i blasted, painted with por15 engine ford blue paint, and painted the lettering white id sell. i am going in a different direction with my build. pm me if you are interested
My 68 valve covers the photos from thegreatjustino and I am pretty certain they are original. Blue paint, Power by Ford script stamped into cover (no white paint on lettering)
66 & 67 did not have Power by Ford. Hence the reason that all of us who've posted with original '67s have said our valve covers are smooth with no lettering.
