Duffy - Did you make a final decision on your exhaust?

Flowmaster does make the Super 50 with Dual 2 1/4" Inlets and 3" Outlet. They also make a 70 series in the same configuration which is just about the same, just longer and quieter.

My favorite, and not loud at all with great flow, is the Gibson Superflow - 758219. This muffler is reversible and has dual 2 1/2" Inlets and one 3" outlet. This one also fits the best too.

I, like you, am going to a quieter muffler.

I have 70 series with a resonator. Drone is minimal. Sounds like a 5.0 should. Not super loud, but you know it's still there.

I got the bronco hut headliner in. I used more sound dampening material. The headliner went in pretty easily. All in all I’m pretty happy with it.

Hard top is on. I need to redesign my lifting system and always do removal or install with a 2nd set of hands. Too many chances to scratch paint or screw it up. Still need to get the top fitted perfectly. I’m hopeful to enjoy the bronco for another month before the snow flies.

That headliner looks great!!! I imagine that helps a lot with the sound deadening. I may consider doing this before I put mine back on this winter. What headliner did you use? Love a white on white bronco!

Man I could confuse that for an ICON for sure but the grill is better with FORD. Great work.

The grill is similar, but not as detailed. I am sure if you got close you would be able to tell the difference. Nothing is perfect:)

Got my new fuel pump on. It’s still loud but much less then the previous one. It’s all an fittings now. Also took the bronco hiking. Stretched it’s legs for a 20 mile drive. Still getting a shake/ shutter in low rpm overdrive. I’m thinking it’s the transmission. Since everything else has been check/ fixed.

My dog loved riding in the bronco.

Hey Duffy,

Great work, looks incredible.
If I recall correctly, in order to fit those tires you narrowed the rear 2” then added spacers. If you had to do it all over again, would you do the same or narrow the rear a different number?

I did 1" on each side. I have aftermarket rear fenders "for now:)" They don't fit the same and stick out about .5-.75" further. If you have stock fenders I think you will need 1" on both sides.

If I was to do it again I would have gone a slightly smaller tire and not done any of it:) I don't think the effort was worth it.

I wanted black interior door handles, but the ones you can buy are plastic junk.

I'm betting those are just cheap copies of the super duty handles. same ones in my '04 f350.

I think the issue is the 2-1 or the monster 2.5" and 3" out.

The huge pipe certainly helps the sound come out. Not sure how much it'd cut down to go to 2.5 out.

Definitely take care of that paint...except that it sounds like you're gonna "go there" again...???

"for now:)"

In my reporter voice, with a slightly raised voice to overcome the other reporters spewing dumb questions: "So does this mean it's gonna get cut!!?? And does this have any thing to do with "going there" again??"

Duffy, you said you learned you were a perfectionist. I disagree. I've spent 4 hours now running through this thread for the first time. You have OCD. A perfectionist would worry about the proper torque on a phillips screw. Instead you twisted the screws until they all lined up together. Also, the way you talk about a dirty garage... HA! I should've taken pics a few weeks back before I started cleaning mine. I had 8 feet of space to park my bronco in mine and work because of STUFF. anyway...

You definitely have OCD, and it has produced a nice ride. I think you've got more in shipping costs than I have in my entire bronco...so far, anyway. I still have a few more things to buy before I move on to the next one.

Enjoy it!

I am going to cut (mostly glued in) the china panels out of the back and put in stock ford ones, also I have NOS front fenders I will be installing. Then I am back to ford stamped steel:)

so with your (very apparent) shipping sponsorship ;);), you can drop the old fenders on a truck to me. I could use some crawler fenders...

Shipping all of these parts wasn't cheap:)

I will sell the front fenders. Rear we shall see if I can keep them put together enough to sell.
