Dbteak- do you know what the donor came from?
Oh and this is kinda off the subject; but there is a shop here in ok, that does the bt4 swap in the eb for 7-8500$ and the 12v swap in the gen 1 full size for about the same $.
Man, is I only had a shop to work out of....
Good luck with the build. Looks great!

I haven't updated things in a while. My contributor status expired and I haven't renewed it yet. I kinda shut down on the bodywork for the winter. I have the doors, tailgate, fenders, grill, and window frame primed, filled, and sprayed with sandable primer. Just need to wait until spring to start sanding and painting again. I put the body on the frame for the last time( i hope) and I am putting everything back on to make sure everything fits before I paint. I will get some pics up soon.

After 2 years of messing with my starter so I didn't have to cut the frame it is finally installed.

Since I started reworking the starter I have found I could have used a starter from a couple of other applications. Here are some pics of the install.

Worked on the doors ,tailgate, and grill. I didn't think they were in bad shape till I stripped the paint off. It took a while to get them strait.

Hung all the panels to check for fit before I finish painting. I'm getting excited.

The tan 4bt on the blue looks fantastic. I'm assuming the whole rig will be blue? What color/code is that? Looks great. Nice work and progress, look forward to seeing more!

One starter is from a f600 with the 5.9 cummins. The call it a MT28. The other starter is from a 7.3 powerstroke. I read somewhere that the powerstroke pinon gear has less teeth than the stock starter but no one has had any issues and you may have to do some modifying to make it mesh with the ring gear.

I used to know what the color code was. It is 1970 Ford Mustang Grabber Blue. The paint I am using didn't have a exact match to the original color code but as long as I keep the can I can have the same paint mixed. They also have a 2011 Mustang with Grabber Blue

Resealed, painted the air box and did the Cheby fan upgrade. Also put in a new heater core. Resealed and painted the fresh air vent. Installed the clutch, brake, and gas petal.

Awesome build!! You are cruising right along. Definitely post a vid of that beast purring down the road. Early broncos and diesels go together like peanut butter and jelly (with a huge cost and a ton of effort). ;D

That paint no if I remember correctly is 5205A .. in DuPont centari. Imron would be 5205U .... I used to sell Du Point FROM 1967 until 1995 .
DB you've done some nice work.. I wish I had pictures of mine . But at the time of my build start I didn't have a camera.
... Sorry but I think some of you are putting too much thought into the starter.. I just used the stock starter that came with my ford desiel bread van trans set up. I did notch my frame but after I'd done it I'm not sure it was needed..
... Now the front cross member action is needed. I cut mine out and moved it forward 2 inches. And I bolted mine in place with about 10 big bolts ..

Installed my air intake and tubing. I took a Cheby duramax air intake and cut out the middle and made a new upper and lower out of sheet metal.
