I bought some 2" tubing 2 weeks ago and was going to start my front bumper build. I borrowed a 2" die from a Buddy and lost the damn u strap for the die. I got some measurements from a member on this site (Thank you Very much). So today I got some time to get started on the bumper. I had a brain fart on the second tube and bent from the wrong side of the die so I had to splice it. I had some 1.75 tube that slid inside so its plenty strong, just pisses me off I did it. Hopefully I can finish it up next weekend.
Here are a couple pics of the start.
Thank You! No problem, I am always checking out threads on this site to see what everyone is doing to their Broncos. Pictures are my favorite , great ideas and things to learn everyday.
Not sure about a winch yet, never had one before. I think I have room to mount it on top or underneath. I can always modify it later if I need to. The design keeps morphing, I thought I had a plan until I started, then my mind starts wondering. Hopefully I get it figured out this weekend. I will post up when I have more done.
Thanks for the reply!
I got a little time to work on the bumper. I still need to add a bar on each side of the bottom and build some end caps as well as finish welding it up. Here are a couple pics.
Hank,
I am trying like hell to gitter done! Looking forward to seeing you again. Looks like we are getting some weather as of today, might make for some fresh powder.
See ya soon!
The only nice thing about this whole virus mess is that I get to work on my Bronco more than usual. Here are some pics of the finished bumper installed. I am very happy with it.

Hank,
Right on! I am not surprised that you cancelled, lots of folks have been detoured by this mess. We were in Pagosa the day before they shut the ski areas down, lots of out of stater's were upset that next day. Catch you next time for sure. Can't wait to see your Bronco!
I was able to finish up my skid plate and install it. I finished my rear bumper except for the tire carrier, still scratching my head on that part. Here are a few pics.
Thank you Guys! I am getting close enough to see the finish line for sure. I appreciate the kind words, I hope to see you on the road soon!
Have a good one!
Been working on my tire rack off and on the last week, made some good progress. I was having trouble with the hinge, I didn't want the pin to be solid. I ended up making a double shear bracket that welded to the bumper. I made it so the pin can be removed from the top by loosening a lock ring on the top. I had a 35 inch bald tire laying around to mock it up. I need to add a few gussets and figure out the latch. Nothing fancy, just pure redneck engineering!
