What is this? I'm guessing it holds the high idle when the choke is on. Mind does not work. How does it work? What makes it work? The choke it working. It just wont high idle.
Any ideas? THANKS.

That's the fast idle cam. You set it by pressing the pedal down, pulling the choke closed, then release the pedal (before you start the engine). You want to pump the throttle once or twice anyway to squirt some fuel before a cold start (in case you're not used to a carbed engine). Opening the choke and tapping the throttle lets the cam drop out of the way, lowering the idle again. It should have steps on it for different idle openings depending how far the choke is closed.

There is a fast idle adjusting screw behind the choke housing to adjust the fast idle rpm.
