Here are the repaired spots after some filler, primer and paint.

The red paint does not match perfectly but not sure if it's the touch up paint or the age of the original paint?? The factory color is Candy Apple Red which is still in the interior. The exterior was repainted year's ago with a slightly brighter red. It's peeling off or wearing off a lot of the exterior creating most of the "patina".

Bumpers match the wheels.

Still working on the Cactus Smasher. Here's starting to lower the light tabs. I dropped them about 5 inches.

I'm hoping to get it finished and installed tonight or tomorrow.

Looking good Gary!! I just noticed you need to update your signature line to add the 72.

I sure did forgot to do that!!

EDIT: Done!

Man on a mission...

Dave, LOL! There is an LEBC Meet & Greet in Austin next Saturday. My goal is to get it back drivable by then. Still need to get the top back on and the windshield and top windows back in. It needs a clutch and throw-out bearing too so I'll try to get that done before the M&G as well. It is drivable with the clutch and throw-out bearing in it now but the bearing is making a noise every once in a while. It would be good to get it changed out before driving to the "big city"!

LOL, the Cactus Smasher, which was originally for a full size (probably Blazer or Ramcharger??), is a a bit taller than one made for an EB. So the proportions are a bit off which DOES make the bumper look even shorter!!

That said, yes, I am having fun with this one.

A little update. I got the top back on - all new seals, gaskets and bolts. With the help of my wife we got the windshield and the top windows installed today.

Here's a few pics.
