They're not solid black but they are mostly black.

Old Ford mags powder coated black. I'm also looking for one more of these rims for a spare if anybody happens to have any laying around.

Pretty sure the sixth one down is the last post is Trailpsycho's...that or Mark something, that rig is sick!!! And we all know who's the last one belongs too ;D

I searched for black wheels for a while and didn't come up with much. ProComp makes some steel ones but thats about it for me because I need a 16x8, unless you want beadlock, which I really don't. Chrome wheels make we wanna puke!

Here's my un-finished pile, black wheels and all. I re-did the 8 bolt Hummer wheels myself using Mad Mac machined centers and Dean Reed rock rings/steel inner cages, finished in 55% black powdercoat.

I love black wheels, I have them on several of my vehicles.

The second one down belongs to JWMcCrary. It should out run about 99% of the Broncos on this board, but not mine. ;)

Here's my black wheeled junk:

Mine which was on your list.

My wheels were at one point shiny aluminum. I covered them with electrical tape to get an idea of what they would look like black. I wanted black wheels, but couldn't buy any at the time. I blasted them and painted with rattle can. They are holding up awesome, and are easy to touch up.

Someone already posted a pic of mine...here are a couple more. CO from last summer and a little over a week ago just before the 9" let go. The last 3 are from 2008 before and after our road trip from Indy to Key West.

I really like the all black wheels...probably difficult to tell, but the rear "caps" and front "axle sleeves" are chrome as well as the lug nuts, but they are almost unnoticeable. They add a very small aspect of bling to keep it all balanced. Almost all the black on my ride is "flat black"...only the cage is semi-gloss, which adds a touch of bling.

I really like some of the black rims with the brighter trim rings...just as balance. I couldnt find any I wanted at the time...especially in the 15" size. Mostly, simple is better. Too much bling, chrome, any amount of diamond plate is just too much, IMO.

Have fun building yours!

John

I'm not into that look, personally, but I can respect those who are. Besides, the beauty of a Bronco is transcendent.
