hardcharger, the grey one at the top of your post was mine, the wheels are just the standard black rims with fake beadlocks. Last I heard that truck was roaming around New Orleans.

I agree that a little chrome/accent gives the wheels a little something extra. I originally thought of using allens for my beadlocks because they were black. However, I think the natural bolt finish looks better.

...too bad I didn't make 8 lug 17" bl though. That would make going to D60s a lot easier!

I really like black wheels. Someday I will paint the rest of my truck a different color than black. Mine are Allied beadlocks.

Someone already posted a pic of mine...here are a couple more. CO from last summer and a little over a week ago just before the 9" let go. The last 3 are from 2008 before and after our road trip from Indy to Key West.

I really like the all black wheels...probably difficult to tell, but the rear "caps" and front "axle sleeves" are chrome as well as the lug nuts, but they are almost unnoticeable. They add a very small aspect of bling to keep it all balanced. Almost all the black on my ride is "flat black"...only the cage is semi-gloss, which adds a touch of bling.

I really like some of the black rims with the brighter trim rings...just as balance. I couldnt find any I wanted at the time...especially in the 15" size. Mostly, simple is better. Too much bling, chrome, any amount of diamond plate is just too much, IMO.

Have fun building yours!

John
