John,
The color on your bronco is awesome! I've been trying to decide on a few shades of green and yours is almost exactly what i want. Can you tell me what the paint code for that is and/or what year/make/model vehicle it came from? Thanks.

Luke

As I told l told Luke via PM, the Bronco color is technically a secret. I made a promise to the gentleman who shared the color code with me several years ago that I would not proliferate it on the internet and so I have not/will not. While the other gentleman and myself both love the color, we dont want to see it on everyone elses' Broncos as well. I only comment here, b/c I have gotten 3 PMs about it in the last week alone...and really do I hate saying no to my brethren.

As for the rims, no secret there---they are Eagle Alloy 186s that have been powder-coated flat black. I got them already powder-coated from an ebay retailer called RIMZONE. Hes is out of NC. Already PC-ed, with shipping, they were cheaper from him or as cheap as I could have bought them for locally....and he included lugs, centercaps, etc. With the chrome lugs and sleeves/center-caps, it balances out all the other flat black pretty nicely...at least IMO.

Happy rim shopping and Bronco-building, friends!

John

I looked through this thread right before my purchase, so I better give back! You'll have to excuse the mess and the lack of a coherent color scheme, but here's what I just picked up:

I got them through a place in California called Signature Performance. Decent price, free shipping, and he knows the owner of Fuel wheels so I got custom center bores that are just right for my hubs. 17x9 with 4.5 backspacing and 315/70x17 Duratracs.

Anyone can see how their wheels look without worrying about making a mistake. There is a product called Plastidip that Home Depot / Lowes sales. I have used it on my front bumper (you can look in my gallery). Sprays on like normal spray paint and peels off if you do not like it. I have had it on for about 2 months so far and it does not peel. I spray painted one of my MT wheels to see if I liked it and ended up removing. Here is a link from youtube that shows the product:

I think it is only $6.00 a can. One of my employees showed me the product and has had it on his wheels for about 6 months so far. Washes fine and does not fade. Very cool product :)
