A small group of Lonestar Early Bronco Club members attended the All-4-Fun event in Leadville this past summer and had a great time. So we have decided to have a low-key Club event in CO in 2018 instead of joining a Jeep event again! We are planning a trip to the Ouray/Silverton/Tellluride area in July and we'd love to have some CO (and other state) Broncos join us.

Here is the announcement we sent to our members:

WHERE AND WHEN
Lonestar Early Bronco Club is heading to the Mountains of Colorado. We will be wheeling for 5 days starting July 16, 2018 and ending July 20, 2018.

OVERVIEW
We will headquarter out of beautiful Ouray, Colorado. The Ouray RV Park and Cabins will be our staging area each day. They have allotted us 12 pre-booked campsites, also providing a meeting room each day to plan the next day's activity. From there we will be going on trails in the Ouray and Silverton area. We plan to have leaders for these trail rides that will take us out, from a few hours to all day. These will be of various difficulty, with most being able to be handled by stock to street-modified Broncos.
For each day we wheel, plan on bringing a lunch and refreshments because you will be on the trail most of the day without possible access to food and/or supplies. Wednesday will be an open day to explore on your own, or have the opportunity to do what you or family would want to do in the area.

REGISTRATION
LEBC's website has the registration form for the event with a link on the LEBC Facebook site. There is no cost registering for this event. For those registering for the camp sites you will need to contact Ouray RV Park and Cabins directly by phone to secure your pre booked site. Per Ouray RV management, you can make the process of registering smoother and more convenient by sending them an email first with your information on it, then they will contact you at your designated best time to call. We've got roughly 16 rigs signed up so far as committed or interested. The RV sites are going fast. This is getting a good response on the Colorado Classic Broncos site and a couple of the CO folks have already signed up. It's been a while since they've had a Rocky Mountain Rendezvous! Some inquiries as far away as Wisconsin and Pennsylvania . . .

Wow, this is almost the opportunity I've been waiting for if only it was a week of running harder trails. This is great and will be a ton of fun for everybody that goes! I need to find a group to wheel with for a week to make it worth hauling from PA.

Drew, we'll be doing most of the "red" trails in the area, but the Alpine Loop and surrounding trails are some of the best scenic trails in CO. For the harder trails we would need to be in the Buena Vista - Leadville area. BUT on the way back to PA you could stop and do Mt Blanca Trail - one of the best/hardest trails in CO. It's a full day up and back and the entire trail is rated difficult. Then throw in the obstacles Jaws 1, Jaws 2 and Jaws 3 and it's a really fun trail. Jaws 3 is the only one with a bypass.

Sounds awesome Gary! If mine was still just slightly modified I might consider meeting you guys. Maybe this will inspire a group to get a week of wheeling stuff like Blanca on the calendar!
