Shock mount on Tracbar Mount

I would love to put my shock mount (Ford F250 mount) in front of the coil buckets. The stock tracbar mount has a threaded hole as well as a lower hole. If I drilled a hole straight through the bottom hole, I could mount the shock mount on top of my tracbar mount. That would give me a TON of room for my fenderwell headers. My tracbar mount has been rewelded for extra strength. Any reason this wouldn't be strong enough?

Track bar is at an angle. honestly that would be a horrible spot... I've got the f-250 mounts and headers and they fit right on the radius arms where they should... I don't think having pushing/pulling on your track bar would make for a good ride at all even if you could some how rig that up..

You could weld tabs to your C-cup cap if you wanted to to mount them in front of the coil

If you get lucky at the boneyard there are c-caps with a factory shock tab on em. I forget what year. Might've been 78-79.

Correct, 78 & 79 model years have the factory quad shock set up on F-150 and full sized Bronco, but it was an option.

I think i have a set of caps that have a set of shock tabs on them that I didn't re-use on my build. Yours if you pay the shipping. The mount on one of the sides is a slight bit bent but still usable and with how they are welded on one of the bolts can't come all the way out.

Sorry, I should have elaborated that I have a 3-link and D60. With the big block mounted on a motor/midplate setup, there is very little room for the fenderwell headers. If I place the shock towers forward of the spring bucket, I have lots of room for the headers. the passenger side has lots of room for the shock tower, the drivers side doesn't. The only way it fits is to be mounted right on top of the frame tracbar mount.

Not sure about mounting to the track bar bracket. What if you built a shock hoop that went to the frame and mounted to the coil spring tower. Here is a pic I found that is similar but you would have to reverse it to mount where you want to go. Hope it helps.

I have seen the original Bronco mounts welded just above the track bar mount and welded to the side of the coil bucket as well. I am not sure why the f 250 mount wouldn't work the same way. Its basically just a taller mount. Not sure just my 2 cents here. Good luck with whatever you decide to do, I look forward to seeing the outcome.

My old Ranger had a shock setup like the Duff one. I was hoping to use the F250 towers, but if I have to fabricate something, I will. This BBF swap has been one hell of a lot of work.
