I am finally getting some work done on my 72. I have had it for about 7 months. The frame and running gear are good but the body is a ton of rust. I call it Spawn (SATANS SPAWN) because every time I turn around I find more that needs replaced. I will post some pics of the progress so far. I started by cutting what was left of the front clip off, most of it is good so that should be pretty simple to put back. I cut off the shock mounts and welded on some F250 shock mounts. I cut out the passenger floorpan (what was left) and then took the outside rocker off. I had to replace some of the inner rocker toward the front of the floor and part of the inner kick panel. I then welded in a 4x4 x 1/4 " rocker. I fitted and welded in a new striker post then I replaced the top of the rocker panel on top of the 4x4. I cut the rear quarter panel , outer first then inner along with the wheel well. The rear corner was smashed so I cut it off leaving the support piece and the top of the inner rocker. I got two long beds off of 65 ford pickups for parts. I cut the rear corner out and welded it to the Bronco support piece. I then cut out what was left of the rear quarter and cut the truck bed piece to fit. I am in the process of getting it fitted and will hopefully weld it in this weekend. Any comments or advice on things you see would be greatly appreciated. This will be a slow process but I will try to keep it updated as I go. Thanks

I got a little work done today. I installed the ps floor pan I made and removed the seat platform. I hope to get the new one installed tomorrow.

Thanks, I appreciate it. Here is a pic of the seat platform I welded in yesterday. The rear floor is just clamped in place for now , hopefully I can get it welded in this weekend. My job is getting in the way of me finishing my project, imagine that.

I couldn't wait till the weekend. After work tonight I welded in my rear cargo floor. Here's a couple of pic's. The blue fender is the cut out from a 65 f100 truck. I didn't think there were any differences in the truck fenders and the bronco. I found out that the wheel wells are 1/4" higher on the truck than the bronco. It is 8 inches from top of rear quarter to top of wheel well on the bronco. The truck fender is 7 3/4" from top of quarter to top of fenderwell. I am replacing both sides so it will match, but if anyone else is going to do this it might help to know.

I installed WH 1 inch body bushings last night. These things are awesome, it will make the rest of my work a lot easier.

Nice to see someone resurrecting one! Don't give up and you'll be cruising before long! :D What do you have for a power plant? 302?

The PO bought this bronco for parts and for the motor. It is a 302 that someone put some work into it. He said when he swapped it into his it had a knock of some kind. Once I get the body and frame done I will install the motor and get it running and see what he is talking about. I also have a np435 bolted up to my dana 20 to put in when I am to that point. I have had to work on all of my previous Broncos but this is by far the worst body I have had the pleasure of working on.

Got a little more done today. I took out the DS hinge post, kick panel and outer rocker panel. I made a patch panel for the inner rocker front and installed the new kick panel and new post. Here are some pics.

I would have a lot more done if it wasn't for an empty wallet and a full cooler of beer!

I found some pictures I lost that should have been posted earlier. These are of the passenger side when I was changing out the striker post, part of inner rocker, lower kick panel and rocker.

Today I got the DS rocker panel cut down and reinstalled. I cut out the striker post and cut out some of the rear quarter panel inside and out. I am hoping to get the 4x4x 1/4" tube rocker installed along with the new striker post. I will also hopefully get the rear quarter inside and out along with the wheel well cut out. I have the other 65 f100 bedside sitting there ready to be cut to size and installed when I am done with the demolition. Here are a few pics.

I got the tube rocker tacked in and cut out the rear quarter. I have the quarter out of the 65 f100 cut to general size and will hopefully get it fitted and welded this weekend. This thing is starting to come together. Its nice to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Here's a few pics
