Wagon Wheel - help

I’m looking at used wheels (15x7; 5x5.5) that were on a Jeep CJ.
The owner does not know the offset.

Question - will these fit my 76 bronco?
What is the correct offset for EB’s?
Did they make different offsets for these wheels?

Thanks

Only thing I can tell you is that I took a set of what I thought were CJ5 factory (1978) wagon wheels and mounted them on my '76 and they cleared the disc brakes.

Prior I had been running a set of '86 F150 rims that needed spacers on the front.

I'm looking for a set of CJ rims but for my Samurai.

What I've found is varying rim widths and backspacing being called CJ rims. From 15x7 to 15x12 with 29 inch tires all the way to 35's. I think people are just calling any wagon wheel that's 5x5.5 a CJ rim.

Best to put your hands on them and verify what they are. Measure the backspacing and see what it is.

Half cab - do you have the same wheel as a spare that you could measure the backspace?

Or I’m hoping someone can provide the correct backspace for a 76 Bronco.

In general vehicles of that era run about the same backspacing. It's not uncommon to find ford stamped wheels on CJs simply because they already had tires on them and they fit fine. It's just a rim. 99% it will fit just fine. 1% you found some weird oddity.

I've noticed two or three sets of mid 80's F150 factory wheels that I've had to ad spacers on the front of the '76 with disc.

76 and 77 bronco disc brakes gets really close to the rim. a 3.5 to 3.75 back space works better. 4 inch backspace gets so close that they will rub or not allow wheel weights on the inside rim. Check before you plunk down your clash. After market CJ rims usually have a bigger center hole in the wheel than the Bronco needs. so it fits all 5.5 inch bolt patterns. If you find the early jackmans where the individual outer spokes are welded directly to the rim make sure you check the welds for cracking. later design rims with full ring perimeter weld are a lighter and better rim.

I have a 77 same as the 76 front, with 3.5 inch back space with vintage slotted mags and it’s tight like an1/4 inch tight

x2 on the 3.5' wheel space, I did a 44 - 76' on "Stretch" and had to do 1/4' spacers for the 4" rims. Everybody measures them differently, some from inside lip, some from the outside lip.... I'm an out side lip guy!!! And I don't like spacers!!!;D;D;D

Got a nice set of 15x10 rims 4" offset if you want them!!!;D;D;D

Thanks all for the great info on back spacing.

Has anyone heard of Mangels wheels?
The owner sent me these pictures/information but I’m unable to find anything on the web.

I’ll measure the back space, but are they OK wheels?

From what I've found they are a Portuguese company that's been around since 1928.

For reference - looks like they are 3.75” backspace.
Maybe that’s what the JJ means??

The owner was nice enough to measure and send me a picture.

Thanks all
