• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

That Bronco has been posted before but it was a New Mexico CL listing then.

Whenever I see something listed on CL very far away from where it actually is I get suspicious of what is really going on.

It was mine

Hello, this was my bronco. I saw it when I was a kid in Albuquerque, and had to opportunity to purchase it a while back. It was sold to a guy that is going to get it back to a functional race truck. I usually list my trucks in as many markets as possible. I never saw an issue with this. With nationwide shipping costs so low, there is really not a concern.

Do you know any of the history of it?

Thanks,

Which goes against what Craigslist recommends on their Avoiding Scams page.
Craigslist is intended for local face to face deals.
Advertising in other markets not local to you on CL makes you look like a scammer.

Hello,

I just know that it was owned by a mechanic near the university of New Mexico, on Lomas in Albuquerque. And it was raced in a regional circuit in the mid to late 1980’s. It is amazing what these guys raced with back then. Very little information widely available about building a race truck. You could see that sections of the roll cage tie into the frame was cut off, and rewelded. The guy I got it from knew the original owner, and said that the truck was never a winner, but he was on an extreme budget, but it was competitive.

When I post cars in other areas, no harm is meant. If someone cannot come look at the auto, I always offer to FaceTime, and they can take a look in real time. Again, was not intending on ruffeling feathers.
