Just had to share, after 1 1/2 years of tinkering with my 71 Bronco on weekends (when I had the time and extra spending cash) I was able to finally fire it up after sitting for 30 years. I purchased mine in 1987 from a guy who purchased it in 1980 sitting for 7 years. I was able to get it running back then and there is lengthy story of what happened next. Bottom line I had numerous opportunities of selling her through the years, even when I was working in Texas and my rig was here in SoCal but I refused. Life went on, moved back to Cali in 2000, had some extra cash but met my future wife, money went elsewhere, got married, bought a house, had a few kiddos and fast forward to now. My youngest is 11, he is now a Boy Scout and the mission began 1 1/2 years ago of bringing the Bronco home after my Dad's passing to get this on the road so we can use her for Scouting and obviously anything else I want. It's a dream come true and that 302 is running nicely. Marvels Mystery Oil down the cylinders was a huge factor in prepping the engine. I'm a few weeks of finalizing some small issues but the goal is to get her out and around town on Labor Day weekend. I have much more work to do, interior, some typical rusting issues and the big expense of body & paint. At this point I will drive her with all the patina and it will be a work in process project, just want to enjoy it with my Boy and one day it will be his but not until I'm 80 Lol. So for anyone out there that has one sitting for many years, don't give up and more importantly don't sell it. I'm giving credit to Bronco Graveyard, Toms Bronco Parts and the Truck Stop in Orange, Ca for numerous parts to get her to this point. I replaced the fuel tanks, all fuel lines rubber and nylon, all new SS brake lines, new master cylinder, wheel cylinders, brake shoes, new bearings, new shocks, cleaned up and detailed the undercarriage, new skid plates, new clutch linkages, rebuilt Holley 4 barrel carb, fuel pump, water pump, oil sending unit, coil, voltage regulator, starter, solenoid, plugs, wires, points, rotor, dist. cap, new radiator, hoses, heater hoses, heater control valve, heater core and a few more misc. parts and man she sounds nice! If anybody can enjoy this feeling with me would be you guys on this forum, not to mention the great help I received using this awesome site. Lets keep working on getting some more of these U13's, U14's and U15's back on the road!
Cheers!
Steve.

It has 70,773 miles. Not sure how to upload photos to this thread otherwise I would share a few pics of my project.
Thanks for the kudos!
