• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

Anyone got parts, or a complete box they are not using?

Thanks everyone! My local parts house had a rebuilt box for $175, now I just need a junkyard van to swap it!

How many bolts on top of the rebuilt box for the sector shaft? There's some boxes on the market now that aren't interchangeable. It should have 2 bolts

You mean, can't be reversed for use in early Bronco? I didn't know that, what should I look out for? One from my parts house looked just like every other Ford box / 2 bolts holding down sector shaft.

There was a thread here a while back where someone did the same as you - bought a rebuilt box from a parts house. The box he got was different than the OEM boxes - had four bolts on the top and the piston was not interchangeable with the parts from the two wheel drive box to reverse it.

The photos he posted made it look like the bolt pattern to the frame was the same, but the top portion of the box was completely different than the OEM boxes we use to put together the 4x4x2.

I'll have to see if I can find the thread.
