The trip was awesome the people were great! The weather was pretty good. It was the first time out with my Bronco since kinda sorta finishing it. I mean we were turning bolts up until Thursday at 2:00 in the afternoon then loaded it on the trailor headed for the show. No time for tests drives.
Here are a few shots of the field and one of the cruises. The last 4 pictures is of my Bronco sitting in the woods after we broke down. I thought I'd shoot some pix while waiting for my rescue.
About half way through the module on the distributor went bad. Another Bronco pulled me the rest of the way out to the edge of the tail of the dragon. All the Bronco's on the trail passed by offering help or a ride but I could not leave it there unattended. I knew it was going to be a long wait as my buddy caught a ride in another Bronco which still had the rest of the route to finish and then carry him back to his truck at the motel. From there he had a thirty minute drive back to the next town to find a new module. So I sat in the woods for 3hrs and 45 min. You know there really are a lot of trees in the forest. I lost count....oh by the way there are 236,000 leaves on a a big tree. 1175 cars passed by on the dragon tail, 18, accura's, 22 mustangs, 36 mazdas........ well you get my point the things you will do when you are sitting in the woods broke down. I was just about to nod off while sitting in the Bronco passenger side with the door open when I remembered the bears we saw earlier, I looked out the door and not 6 feet away I looked at the ground and there was an area where a bear had dug up the ground, and scratched on a tree. By the marks and paw prints it had to be 20 ft tall and weigh 1000's of pounds. I closed the door and rolled up the window and wrote my will. I had a great time. Thanks to all at the show who tried to help!!!

I was supposed to be on that ride but trailer light problem put me behind... I had a TFI module in my bag... Never had one go bad but I have carried that spare for years. Great looking Bronco... sorry about your troubles.

It was good meeting you at the show- and like other said- I love that half cab.

We towed you out... my wife was paranoid as she had never been involved in something like towing a dead vehicle.

Glad you got it fixed. We will see you again!

Thanks!! Try hard to get there!! Sorry you missed it I thought we were going to have to pass since we never had a chance to drive it and work out any problems. But we threw caution to the wind and so glad we did. Met some awesome folks and had a blast!!
