Worked on the Bronco yesterday and today. Wilwood MC/prop valve and new lines installed. Also installed: the pedals (back in after painting and new bushings), twin stick shifters, Saginaw pump, 1 wire Alt, and started routing the heater hoses.

Im clueless where to route the hydroboost lines with the Saginaw pump, steering box, and PS cooler (and the necessary "t"). So Im going to post in the tech section asking for help on that.

Ok, I sold my 4x4x2 steering box because the linkage was hitting the inner fender and with the adapter it was shifted way to the drivers side. Plus I was going to have to grind off the frame Powdercoating to weld the adapter.

I purchased a brand new Delphi box from Matt and Paul at Wild Horses (those guys are always helping me with my problems).... I can’t wait to bring this Bronco up and show them what all their help has accomplished.

This box fits perfectly and as an added benefit my anti-sway bar can now be centered (I had it shifted way over to clear the 4x4x2 box and adapter).

Last thing I did this weekend was attempt to put my fan shroud and radiator in. Of course it doesn’t fit.... (maybe its the 1” body lift) with the radiator in place the shroud hits my crank shaft pulley. So I welded on some tabs to lower it. Hopefully it goes together now.

Hey, progress! And good progress too!;D
That's exactly what did it with the fan. Some of us do get away without lowering the shroud, but by far most people have to do something.
I'm still fighting for a 1" shroud, which seems like a no-brainer since we've been selling the 1" kit for so long now.
We have the stock and 2" shrouds, and those that have 1, or 3 inch body lifts have been left to their own devices so far.
Looks like you took care of business just fine.

Thanks

Paul

Thanks Paul. Every day I get something/anything done on the Bronco... I go to bed happy!

Keep up the great work! What color powdercoating did you use for wheels and dash? I am looking for good matches for Wimbledon White and Parchment.

Every little step counts.. Keep after it

I took it to my local place and it matched with the "Almond" color they had. Sorry I don't have more specific info. We went through every color they had and this one was spot on.

Fan shroud bolted up pretty good, good clearance all the way around. I’m definitely happy with the fit now.

Also you can see where I mounted my PS cooler. I put the bumper on and the gap between the grill and bumper (with the 1” body lift) allows perfect airflow in this spot.

Lastly....I had my 3 year old “helping”.

Thanks this is helpful...I suspect you went with Cardinal BG-01 Almond for a Wimbledon White match. Nice work on the PS cooler. I also have a 1” and might take the same approach when the time comes. You are making great memories with your helper!

Dash looks nice. My Bronco is Green now but headed back to the original Raven Black soon.

Thanks! Let me know if you want me to call the shop. I can ask them for details on the brand, etc. if that would help you?

Update

I purchased Toms “Plate Style” Family cage kit. I really like not having the legs in the way of the glove-box and E brake. I also want front support for the windshield. I am going to have to get creative for the rear cage bc I want to keep my bulkhead in place.

To bolt the plates up, I figured taking the fenders off would be a good idea. As you can see in the pics the inner fenders are like new.

My plan is to weld it together and then powder-coat. I’m torn between matching the dash (Wimbledon) or just black.

Cage

Mocked up the cage today and tacked it into place. Lots of little adjustments.... so far, so good.
