Thanks
Gorgeous truck BTW !
Thanks.
I attached a dirty sketch with measurements.
Materials needed:
2x2 tubing
2x3 tuning
2x4 tubing
Grade 8 bolts
A to z fab mega spindle
Latch of choice
A to z fab tire mount
Stock bumper
Steps:
Measure and cut metal. Note the frame rail piece is the only 2x4. I did that so I could notch a support to the bottom bumper piece. Also, you will want to measure your tire width from center of wheel to outside of tire to get the correct length needed for the top piece. I didnt mark it in the picture, but I had 1.25 inches of space between the bottom 2 pieces to allow for the dumper to be slide in ask well as some bump stoos.
Weld. Make sure your notch for the spindle is level and square. Otherwise, you'll be swinging at an angle.
Paint, powder coat, or bedliner like I did.
Cut out hole in stock bumper for spindle
Assemble. As mentioned about, I put stock hood styoe bumpers on the bottom of the rail that swings as extra cushion. Place the latch where you want. Also, I haven't done it yet, but I'm plan on installing a limiting strap so that the bumper doesnt fly open. It will be a a strap for our doors.
Hope this helps
