Heater box ready to go back in. Time to finish the harness repair and then scuff some paint so I can jam some areas before reassembly.

Harness repair is just about complete. I had several wires break out of the original fuse block so I cut the balance out and reworked spade fuses in. I still need to add both sides of the dash lights in one of the empty spots. I also left two expansion circuits on the battery side to add a radio or something else later.

I used three different sizes of heat shrink and applied them one at a time to build a nice wear layer in case of abrasion.

Good job Pete! Keep it up and you will get there. I wish I could be of more help but seem to have lost some of my Bronco Mojo and trying to find it again. I think it is coming around though! Hopefully warmer days are ahead! ;D

I find Mojo ebbs and flows, hang tight for it to come back around!

Well it was February for my last post and life has certainly gotten in the way. But I finally was able to think about the bronco again. I put the rebuilt heater box in and hung the dash I restored earlier. Neither are perfect but this truck will be a beater while my real one gets built. And then be dedicated trail rig. I figured I should "jam" the windshield frame while I was at it. It is a rattle can job of Kubota orange and a major part of the color scheme I am planning. I am further than I was this morning.

Wow, it’s been a long time since my last post. Been spending quality time on it these past few days.

Started with a Jegs universal column and a wooden wheel I have had for ever. The Jegs column had a Chevy steering wheel adaptor on it so I ordered up a grant unit that would work with my wheel.

Then I got to work on the collapsible shaft and the new universals.

With all that prepped, I went to putting in the column using a Wild Horses universal 2” installation bracket.

And finished up the hardware install.

Still working out a few of the wires but I am close to nailing that all down. I took the pins out of the old steering column harness connector:

And I cut in the new connectors:

I also installed the heater controls. The original knobs were painted and beat up but the cables worked for the most part so I went and bought some cheap billet knobs to clean it up a bit.
