Yes, Windrock is the closest and largest public place to go ride. Anything from mild to wild. You could literally ride service roads all day long and just enjoy the scenery, or dive off and do some harder stuff. The old prison there is now open for tours (haven't done the tour yet but I want to), you can go see the massive windmills, and some nice overlooks.

I tried to organize a day ride up there for several years in conjunction with the SC, but there was never much interest. A few of us went and had fun though ;D

Thanks guys Im going to give it a good this year since my plan is to trailer it I can go have a bit of fun with out worrying getting it home.

The 50th was my first also and I will be going this year with a bronco this time. I will be trailering it down though because I won't have enough seat time to trust it before then. I hope this trailer I bought will make it there and back;D. We have a room at the Gateway Inn this year, and we stayed at the Highland Mannor at the 50th. I had better get busy it will be here soon.

I see what you did!;D

I would recommend that everyone that can attend once to determine if it is for you. I only attend every few years to catch up with people I seldom see. I have seen all the broncos I ever need to see and don't really get into standing around talking broncos all day or several days. Now if they wold make it a wheeling event I'd be in for the entire thing every year. It's what you like. I have a beautiful 76 bronco sitting in my garage that hasn't even been started for I can't remember how long but I have a 66 bronco that I wheel every chance I get. The 76 is worth 3 or 4 times what the 66 is worth but if I could only have one it would be the 66. Life is too short to stand around talking when there is still places open to wheel!! That's my take on it for what is's worth. If I ever get to retire I may sell the 76 and have a bronco buggy built with the money. Can't have too many trail rigs.

Maybe...depends on work and school.

You know who my client is sooo.....

Couldn't have done it in '16 without you Franko!

This will be my first - planning to trailer it up from SW Florida so would like to caravan up with any other FL folks. I too am on the crunch time schedule to finish the Bronco. Getting painted in the next 30 days then need to get it back together enough to make the trip.

What's the deal with registration and the show and shine and stuff like that? I don't think I'm going to win any awards, ha, and just want to be on the infield. Also do people leave their Bronco's there overnight or take them back and re park each morning?

I made the trip 4 years ago for the 50th and this will be my 4th time down there... I kept telling myself after year one Id have my bronco there! This year it's finally happening! Pretty excited, got my fam involved to help watch the merch table so we can take turns driving the bronco around!

Hey bulldog, I have the same questions as you. I’m getting my bodywork done now but I don’t think I’ll have paint on before SC. Probably be rolling up in primer grey. I’m not concerned about entering in any show but like you I would like to be on the field just to hang out.

Hey guys, I think registration gets you a pass to the field, a t-shirt and a few raffle tickets. They uasually do the show & shine in the field next door, your chouce. I sometimes leave my rig on the field over night, sometimes I drive it back to the hotel and just leave my canopy to save my parking space.
Hope that helps!!!;D;D;D

Bulldog,Maddog, I am taking my latest barn find. I hope to get it running in time, so I won't have time for anything else. People will probably think it's a basket case for sale. LOL

That's great Ryan! Look forward to seeing you there.

I believe last year the show and shine stayed in the main field. Broncos of all sorts and condition are on the field.

Yes. Stout is right... Some of the most interesting and attractive Broncos on the field are not the ones with the highest luster, or the most exotic engine transplants, or the newest restoration, or most chrome components, but just a true, honest Bronco that still has a persona that time has given it!

I tell people this about this show all the time.

There are trucks with $250k investments, and then there are crusty, old one owner turds... and they all get the same level of attention and appreciation.

Couldn't be more excited.
