Strange one here. I have a 5.0/M5OD/205 combo and I hooked up my speedo cable and my speedometer rolls the the odometer backwards and registers no speed. I have the white drive gear and the maroon driven gear. Any Idea why my cable would be reversed? Thanks

Do you have the speedo gear in the transmission or the NP205? Not sure there is a speedo output on the transmission but the NP205 only has one way to go.

It is in the 205. Would a Chevy or Dodge 205 gear be different? Right vs left. Maybe I have the wrong gear?

On further inspection, it seems the driven gear is sitting straight on top of the drive gear and is wearing the driven gear. When I hold the gears together, the driven gear sits at and angle to the drive gear. The hole through the case orientates the driven gear and speedo shaft straight in the case on top of the drive gear. Is this correct? Not sure how the shaft would come in at an angle but it seems it should. Thanks.

You do know that the driven gears come in both LH and RH helixes? Do you have the correct helix?
