Which gaskets???

I am putting a gt40 lower intake (Lightning) and a gt40 upper (Explorer) onto a 97 5.8L. Should I ask the guy at the parts counter for upper and lower intake gaskets for a 93 Lightning?

Fel Pro MS95952 includes upper and lower gaskets for your setup. That is what I used on mine.

You should be OK with those gaskets and '97 heads.

The newer style gaskets on the older heads will most likely leak from the coolant ports.
Been there done that .
