Steerin g column Question

I am trying find out what attaches the steering column to the column support bracket.

What column are you using?
Some aftermarket columns have a bracket welded on. like the stock column.
Others use something like this: https://www.wildhorses4x4.com/product/Under_dash_mounting_kit/Bronco_Stock_Column_Parts

If you're going to use the above bracket, you need to know the diameter of the steering column and make sure it matches the bracket opening.

I'm thinking you have the triangle bracket on the firewall and that's the one you are asking about? If so you must be missing the big clamp that goes around the column and bracket. One more part we need to make.

Sorry I don't have one. It's litraly a big thick hose clamp looking thing.

The link in the previous post shows the bracket for the under dash mount on an aftermarket 2" OD column.

Here is a picture of the fastener that held my stock steering column to the column support bracket.

Please note that I have upgraded to a Flaming River tilt column and the stock bracket does not fit properly (too large).
