Don’t see this one in the thread. 1977 code “x” Light Tan or Indio Tan

I believe I was parked next to that one at Super Celebration a couple of years ago :) Fantastic 77!

1977 Ranger

Has to be Vista orange, I think. Ignore the kid with his first turkey. I was very proud of it.

I don't have a recent picture. It is getting washed and ironed. Hopefully back on the road this summer!

Are you close to Skyline Ala? great pics, reminds me of when my Dad and I use to hunt down that way in the 70's, just north of Skyline on the Tn, Ala line, it was close to the Walls of Jericho.

Yep, Skyline is still my hometown. I built my home about 1/4 mile from where I grew up! Great place, and this Bronco has been over almost every square foot of it .... Paved or not ;D

I remember seeing it all the time when riding to the valley. We only live a few miles from each other. I'm right on 79 in Hytop.

Brandy, you hunted near my hometown! Hytop! The walls are within the fire jurisdiction.

One of 774

I have owned my 73 since 1995. I knew I was just the second owner and most of the basics on its' options. I finally ordered a Marti Report and was pleased to discover that there were only 774 made with the Wind Blue color code. I realize that there were several name variations for what seemed to be the same light blue color but now I value mine just a little bit more.

Not sure which orange this is. Color codes are blank since it was a special order. Any ideas? Pic is very accurate and mostly original paint

I don’t want to hijack but keep looking for an answer. Still has the original dealer sticker on the gate.

Well, a lot of people subscribed to this thread, so if someone knows hopefully they'll say.
But with it being a "special paint" nobody can really know for sure. If it looks like a factory standard color, great. But if it's just close, it's very unlikely anyone's going to know for sure what name or color code it might have been.

Did you look also at color charts for passenger cars, and also at the charts for both years adjacent to yours? Sometimes they'll paint it a color from the previous year, or the other platforms that would normally not have been available on a Bronco as a regular order.

Is the dealer still in business? Any old-timers that might remember a special customer that they might have had that needed a particular color?

Other than those scenarios, I don't know if you'll ever be able to just "visually determine" the color with 100% accuracy after all these years.
