Classic 4x4 Market Policy Changes

Dear C4M Fans,

We have implemented some policy changes that affect how buyers and sellers transact vehicles on our website, and we would like to describe some of them below:

The most impactful changes concern the addition of fees that will affect both buyers and sellers. After one year of experimenting with various business models and vehicle offerings, we feel that the changes reflect our most suitable way forward, helping to retain our financial sustainability and further expand the quality and quantify of our listings.

Buyers: buyers will be charged a Final Buyer’s Fee of 4% of the final vehicle purchase price. This fee is relatively standard among automobile-resale platforms, as well as auction/consignment houses. We have attempted to keep the rate low, capped at $5,000, so as to lighten the burden on buyers.

Sellers: sellers are now awarded a 2% Seller’s Commission, based on the final selling price of a vehicle sold on our website; this payout is to compliment the seller for submitting a quality listing, and working diligently with the buyer. As an example, a $10,000 sale will trigger a payment of $200 (2% of 10,000) from C4M to the seller. As before, there are no listing fees.

Sellers do have to contend with an optional and one-time-only Offsite Contact Fee of $50, when seller or buyer requests contact with the other party offsite. We justify this contact fee by having provided an effective selling platform for the seller and bringing about an interested and qualified buyer. This fee is one-time-only per vehicle, charged to the seller, and refundable upon successful sale of the vehicle on our website. The fee will not apply again if seller decides to relist the vehicle on our website.

There are other, and more minor, policy changes that we have implemented, and we recommend that you visit the following pages so as to become more informed prior to buying or selling on our website:

Thank you for your support in the past year; with the new policy changes, we hope to continue to grow and serve the classic Bronco community well.

Classic TOYOTA market????

Very funny, but the Toy guys seem more willing to take advantage of our offerings... speaking of which, why don't more Bronco owners use our services? It's added exposure, and not much of a downside?

We are getting ready to run some ads in Bronco-related magazines... Bronco Driver being one. If we may poll you, what other magazines or forums should we advertise in, to better reach Bronco owners such as yourselves?

Thanks, and we appreciate any comment/thoughts that you all may have.

Sorry, but I thought you just mis-typed in Toyota instead of Bronco.

Got it, and thanks for the catch! We've corrected the mistake.

Land Cruisers are popular on our website, and we're active on their online forums.
