Looks like a pretty good find from here.
But first I'd check the VIN (if it still exists?). It sure looks to have a Stroppe-like paint job. I see Poppy Red and White all over.
Not that you would then have a Stroppe of course. But it sure would be cool to have half of one!

Not much difference in the two bodies as far as making it fit the frame. Should bolt right on.
But the door strikers and latches on the two are different. That is actually a big deal, and either will create a new project for welding and fitting, or another project in finding some doors for a '74.

Have fun either way!

Paul

Thanks Paul! I doubt it has any vin info, and I can ask Chris if he knows anything about the tub. I think he had it for about 15 years. I had a feeling the doors would be an issue. Maybe I will just get it running without doors for a while, i duno. I like the bolt on upper frames better than the 74 doors though, and would like it to look original 67.
I have a LOT to do before I need to mess with any of those decisions though! lol

Yes, at least for the most part. But this one looks to have brand new rear quarters with weld-through primer.

The driver's door b-pillar decal is there. Is it still legible?
Did you get a dash with it by any chance? Sometimes at least part of the VIN was hand-written on the backside of the dash.

Be great if some of that decal was still visible.
Either way though, looks like you got a decent tub there. Newly welded tunnel and quarters and maybe all sorts of fixes.
Looks like it had Ford EFI in it at one point by the large oval hole in the firewall behind the glove box.

And not all 2-tone Poppy Red and Wimbledon White EB's ended up being Stroppes as we've found out.
A buddy has a '73 2-tone from the factory that looks to have been slated for Stroppe, but never delivered. Had the right DSO information, and factory original 2-color paint scheme. It just never made it to the Stroppe shop for whatever reason.
Maybe you have it's mate.;D

The 74 Bronco tub has extra bends on the driver side inner front wheel tub to clear power steering. The front of the core support down by the frame has a little hat to clear the power steering box. The side of the tub behind the drivers seat has cutouts for the vapor recovery and a bolt on cover for the bottle. No pick-up or roadster models so the bed is punched for the hard top on both top rails. Bed has sided marker cut outs. May or may not be drilled for swing away tire mounts. Inner tailgate mounting for the spare was optional. Door striker is different and different location. No vin tag on the body. Sticker in the drivers door jamb, Body/vin on the glove box door and at least 2 stamping's on the frame. Keep your vin stuff from your old body you will need that.

Thank you! That is all very useful info. I plan on swapping to power steering, so thats 1 less thing to change with the new tub. I think I am keeping the hard top, and my 67 is a U15, so no big deal on the side rails. I already ordered my 67 VIN plate from Marti, and the frame and title VINs match.

Again, not a great update/report. I'm still waiting on my transporter for the body tub. I have been playing around with stuff at home. Got my wall art tailgate shot with the original Holly Green. Now I want to play around with the tailgate lettering colors. I also found a sweet rc bronco at Wal-Mart that I picked up and paint ed it to match and motivate me.

Good luck with the project. The RC Bronco is cool. Do you remember what the company was that makes it? I have been looking for a Bronco body to fit my Stampede truck and looks like it might fit the bill.

New Bright. It's only 1:15. Fun, inexpensive, rc bronco. If you need a body, pretty cheap ones on fleabay

Appreciate it! I love days where I can be productive, but any day is a good day as long as the pump keeps working.

Got a set of valve covers from a fellow member. Got them blasted and painted with POR15 Engine Enamel 'Ford Blue'. They look good, but I want to do a 2nd coat. It came out much darker than I expected, but its growing on me. Should I hand paint the lettering? Any ideas? What do you all think?

Beginning to really lose hope with my build. Just not what I was expecting. Very little of the 67 is salvagable. Trying to get it all torn down to even see the condition of the frame. What I can see from the rear has rotted out spots. Hard top is completely rotted. Windshield frame; rotted. Gas tank; rotted. Body; rotted.

I got the 74 tub, and it is in really great shape. I may be better off looking for a good 74 frame and just accepting a total loss on the 67. Sorry to be such a downer, but just a tough pill for me to swallow at the moment. Wish I had better news to report. At least my 4.5 year old niece is happy with the new tub

Absolutely! What makes it even worse is when the wife looks over my shoulder and says "What did you get yourself into?"

Then when she sees it hours/days/months later she says "I never doubted you honey" %):-*:-X
