perhaps the mirror is correct and the arm is correct but the mount was fabricated? Anyone have any interest in purchasing the mirror or the 66 windshield frame?

I think it does aside from the bracket. Anyone need a rust free 1966 windshield frame?

The 66 rear view mirror has been authenticated by a local Bronco guy. The windshield frame also has an electric wiper motor that I'm told was original to the earliest few 66 broncos. Looks like a real artifact. Anyone care to comment?

I've seen six styles of 66' rear view mirrors, I've seen most myself in person and a couple that the Broncoranch owner has posted before. I've not seen one the one in your pic(which doesn't mean that this isn't additional one), what's the long piece at the top where it attaches to the windshield frame? As far as the electric wiper motor on a 66', I don't believe your local guru. Not saying that it's not a 66' Falcon, Fairlane, Mustang or an Econoline motor though. What's the part number?

It's one of the one's I've seen before yes. All of the ones I've seen before no matter their shape or how they attach is always curved on top or bottom to some degree, some more than others. There was a pristine one for sale just like yours on FB a few weeks ago.

This mirror looks like it came out of a truck with the headliner. The stem and mirror are similar to the bronco one though. The mount part is typically a two hole flat mount piece that does not have the "v" like yours.

True, typically but this is a factory installed 1966 mirror on a 1966 frame. Very early production, also came with a factory electric wiper. I've never seen one on a 66 before. It does not look like any other wiper motor that I've seen that is electric. This is a real Bronco mirror, not a truck mirror

Why? Because you say so?
