What your guys thoughts on 4 speed toploaders over three on the tree? Looking for a little better drivability. Very minimal off-roading.

Always thought it would be cool. The NV3550 5speed is also an option for under 400hp and street. Kit is significantly more money than the Top Loader conversion. I ran a 4 speed TopLoader OD to dana 20 in a bronco in the early 90's. As you posted, little trail time but what it did was fine for the rest of the rig's mods-very mild. Then I got the C4/Atlas 4.3 bug- You are probably aware of the mods required but here is a good start from AA-

I have one in mine. A wide ratio. It is far better than the 3 spd. The mods to the car 4spd need to be done correctly. On the trans and transfer I purchased, the shift rail cap mod was done a little sloppy.

I have about 300 ft lb's at very low rpms. I am curious as to how long it will last.

I have a T170 RTS 4 speed overdrive behind my 200. It works great. I would look for the one with the 27% overdrive.
