Went to Ultra4 race today. It was the first off race of this type I have ever been to. Had a great time. Even better that a bronco driven by Vaughn Gittin-- well at least fenders doors grill and hood off a bronco won. He runs a crate 427 motor.

It's about 50/50. Ifs does give up a bit of performance in the rocks but makes up for it in the fast stuff. It definitely rides better allowing more speed and less driver fatigue. Endurance races are won with a combination of equipment tuning, durability and driver not being beat up and whipped.

Cool - I was helping the wife shop yesterday at Meijers & when she sent me to get a watch battery I stumbled across a RC version of that Bronco. Of course I had to get it & of course my sons(20 & 23) think it's for them. NOT!

At least it reminds people there are Broncos or were Broncos. But then NASCAR has gone same way. No NASCAR racer shares anything with the cars they are supposed to look like. In the '60s you could buy a Chevy, Ford, Dodge, or Plymouth that had the same chassis, body, and drive train as the NASCAR race cars. You rooted for the make as much as the driver. Hell you could drive to the race in car that's almost same as the car that won.

Yeah, back when America was as great, chrome was thick and women were straight.
