Golly, sure is a lot of work for a grill I'm not sure I will be using! I followed Sprdv1's advice, sort of, by cutting the intended grill insert bit by bit, sort of sneaking up on it. Also, got the blinker pockets welded in, still needs fine tuning. Also, I went to preview an auction at a junkyard yesterday.

Have you heard the saying, "Even a blind pig finds an acorn now and then."? Well, I think I may have found an acorn. Ya know how sometimes you visualize what you want to do or what might look cool, but it falls a bit short or you maybe have no idea how to implement your inspiration? Well, I'm closer to puttin' the pieces and parts and the ducks in a row. There is real satisfaction in learning that maybe you're not crazy after all, at least not certifiably. Oh, and I got a Care Package from the Graveyard, Bronco that is.

Good idea. You thought about taking some width out of the corral? Looks tight to the headlight rings to me. Keep us post...love seeing your progress!

EDIT: Ignore my comment about making it skinnier. Was looking from my phone during the hurricane and it looked like they were touching. Actually the space looks great!

All good man, we learn from the little things, know better next time

Enjoy the journey

Lots o fun today! Two steps forward and twelve steps back, but it could have been worse! Should have listened to Sprv1 a while back when trimming the Bronc grill for the Mustang corral. Cut too much away, had to fabricate new. Went great (well, good enuff) but spent a lot of the day getting to where I had already been. I did pick up the blinker pockets for the roll pan, turned out nice enough, can't wait to cut them in. Sprdv1, don't be shy about holding me back a bit..... Gonna order new clear lenses some day when I get a round toit. Last pic is just me braggin' 'bout my bride and my boy.

Crush, my target date is Memorial Day 2019. I'm going full speed ahead to try to make it. My dad would drive veterans in his '59 retractable in the hometown parade on Memorial Day and my lovely bride suggested that I do the same with the Bronco after he passed away in August.

This "Evolution" thing is slow, tedious work! I built a wooden jig to get to get the stainless mesh in an approximate shape and put the buckin' bronco inside the small corral. Had a pleasant surprise visit from Rydog, an amazing guy with multiple sets of amazing wheels! Evolving has lots of, "Hmmm, how'm I gonna do this?" moments. Inching out of the ooze.....

I got a feeling that grill is gonna turn out nice Howard up there in beautiful West Michigan. Ryan is looking like a wooly booger with that beard. Must be getting ready for deer hunting. Ken

It was good to see you Howard and put a face to the name! You have a great shop and your bronco is coming as long great! Keep up the good work and hope to see that bronco at the takeover this upcoming summer! You’re right ken duck season and deer hunting take priority over the facial grooming!

OK, just a little background info, and then on with the story. The title "Buck 'n' a Bronco" for two reasons: 1. 'Buck' was a childhood nickname. 2. When the suggestion of making and selling hood scoops came up, I pondered the business name "Buck 'n' Broncos". OK, moving along now, here's what I started with, sort of.....

All I can say is "Buck 'n' A" - ;D
Awesome job man!
