Looks like my Jeep except mine has soft top.

The Bronco makes me think of the antique Nylint Bronco toys. They had the safari model.

I am following the adventures of this guy who is transiting Africa over the next two years, and even though he is using a J**p, it's an interesting read. He is currently in the Namib desert of Angola. While looking over the story i came across this pic he took... Does that look like a 66 or so Roadster?

ha .... at least few hundred ended up in south Africa, Namib, Botswana and Zimbabwe.
was told years ago that some of the rare right hand drive can be found ...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
got a link to his blog / website ? like to ask him to drive back and take more pix ..I pay for it/ sponsor that !
I am fallowing and sponsoring this couple driving from Argentina to Alaska and back !
got to meet them this year in early Feb. Had them stay for 3 days and sent them to a friend in the keys for a week !
sooo:eek: envy of all the things they seen and experienced !
I also fallowed John and Paula w. https://www.ourbiggerpicture.com/
they are from LA ... retired older couple w. money.
they drove a purpose built new tundra from LA to the most southern tip of Argentina ...went to Antarctica and drove back home ! ( not your typical Overlander bc they stayed a lot in in hotels or AirBnB’s ... lil differed prospective and coolness I think )
but very well written blogs and amazing photos !
the website
https://www.ourbiggerpicture.com/
and on top click on Achieves ....days of good read and pix !
Wouldn't work for the "Broncos in the weeds" thread. Maybe start a new one: "Broncos in the dunes".
Well time to start a go fund me page so we can rent a C130 and save it. Ground looks flat enough to land on.
Or maybe have a local shipper pick it up and slap it in a container and send it home.
Paint it orange and white and some one will nab it as an old Stroppe racer lost from one of those Safari challenge races. Raced by James Garner and Steve Mc Queen.
How long would it take for someone to know its missing?
Wondering if anyone looking at airline cost to see if it's worth retrieving a couple of 66 bumpers and inserts?
Saved the pic and zoomed and sure enough 66' front and rear bumpers and dash. That's like on Close Encounters of the Third Kind where they find the missing airplanes in the desert lol.
I was thinking, probably heater delete option dash.
We could see it on Google Earth if we knew roughly where to look.............. roughly 16k square miles of the Namib Desert in Angola lol.
