I have a hole in my dash from when an aftermarket radio was installed. I no longer have a radio so I wanted to put a plate there. I was thinking of maybe something with a clock since I have no clock. I'm not very creative. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do? I can post measurements and a pic if needed.

You could cut a patch panel and weld it in and it would look like it never had one.. You could also cut a larger piece of sheet metal and drill holes towards the corners and mount it on with rugid looking screws and mount your clock on that... I myself made a cover out of aluminum with rugid looking screws and then mounted 2 4" speakers and moved my radio in the center console.. I'll attach a picture in a bit. I also have a beer opener on my dash that would be another idea for you lol

A PO cut my dash as well. I found a Ford radio delete plate and painted it to match; hardly noticeable. P/N = E69Z-1104371-B

You could cut a plat to fit and install switches in the plate or try to find a switch panel that will cover the hole.

I've made several "radio delete plates" over the years. Smooth polished aluminum, brite diamond plate (LOL), padded black faux leather, wood, - there are plenty of possibilities. Good place for a switch panel or CB, as mentioned. Also a good spot for a recessed cubby hole. And I've welded up a couple to make a factory looking radio delete dash. I don't have pics of all of them.

that ford plate was in a lot of the cheapie model 86-88 rangers. my 86 ranger had one and I cut it to mount a new stereo. worked out well but wish I had gone and taken as many as I could from the junk yard and taken all the ones my buddie that installed stereos professionally had laying around his business workbench
