Hell, don't know what else to call this build thread I am starting so here goes...
This build is a frame up '76 that I purchased from an individual in Florida that had started his dream build only to give up on it. I have discussed somewhat before in a few threads but am now determined to take it over and have it done as best as I can. Here are some pics with how pretty much how it looked when I received it.

The trouble is that after I picked it up. So much of the stuff the PO had started with was not really going to work for me so started wheeelin' and dealin' with my cuzz' to make this all work.

Oh, the reason for naming the thread fibermetal,,, easy, metal top, fiberglass fenders, metal tailgate, fiberglass tub, metal inner fenders, fiberglass tub, metal doors, metal windshield. Actually, when all is said and done I think I am going to be very happy with the final Bronco.

Nothing against the guy that gave up on his dream, but he made it so much less difficult for me to start mine.

Well, that's not exactly the pic I was lookin' to start the thread off with,,,,,

For the tub, again, because of the exposed glass/resin, sanded down and gel coated the firewall for paint to be applied to a nice surface,,,, The rest of the undeserside is going to get the black Raptor Liner everyone seems to say good things about,,,

Here are a couple of Chassis shots, frame was powder coated by PO. Thats a new, never fired Ford racing crate motor and a new C4 with clutch kit, and a rebuilt Dana 20,,,,,, holes cut in firewell, and BC's center cluster dash that will make its way into the program when the time is right

Looking great! Just a question for my own sake - why did you gelcoat the rest of the tub?

you mean why didn't I? Well, I thought about gel coating the whole underside, but I thought that be a little overkill and I need every penny I can scrape up to make this work. This is going to be a "value" oriented build as my funds are going to only reach so far.

Small favor to ask Miker....what would you guesstimate the weight difference to be between that hood and a stock steel hood?

That's a darn good question that I really don't have a clue as to what the answer is. Others seeing this thread might know and can chime in. Sorry.
