Does anyone know of a repair sleeve to fix seal surface wear on dana 44 shafts? Same for the D44 yoke. Done the gears and the carrier right now and really don't see a reason to but new shafts. U joints are good.

Thanks,

Last time I needed a speedi-sleave (for a pinion yoke) I took it to NAPA, they measured it and sold me a sleeve. I didn't like the price but it did the job.

How much? More than $20? For yoke I would replace it for front drive driveshaft with open diff or true trac I would hope sleeve is a fraction of the replacement cost.

The last one I bought in that size range was something like $26.

It's been a few years but as I recall mine was more out the door. It was enough I got a free NAPA bucket for spending XYZ amount.....Its still a running joke about how much the bucket cost...LOL Still got the bucket....

Thanks for the part number. That was a great help. Got the true trac and gear all finished in the 44 this past weekend.

I will say I would rather do 3 9 inch rears as compared to one d44. Glad I made the carrier setup bearing and pinion race.

Looking good, Joe! #99131 sleeve is $38.25 at my local NAPA. Ouch.
Doing my 44 wasn't bad either. It was more time consuming than anything.

You can always press the seal in a slightly different spot so the wear moves to a new spot on the polished surface.
