RJM Technologies EFI Wiring Harness

My RJM Technologies Wiring Harness was delivered yesterday! I can't wait to get EFI installed.

I still have to locate a few more pieces (mainly sensors).

Right now I need the following:
1. Inertia switch
2. O2 sensors (prob buy new)
3. Map Sensor (or Bar. Sensor) - not sure which one I need
4. Coolant Temp Sensor
5. ACT senor

If anybody has any of this and would like to sale at a reasonable price let me know or if anybody has suggestions where to get a deal on any of this please let me know. I wish we had a pick n pull yard close by. The closest one is 100 miles away.

I have a 23 gal tank that I was going to install on my rig but it does not have the ability to have an intank pump. I have been trying to get RecoilJunky on here to buy it from me for his monster hot rod bronco that way he can ride past a gas station without stopping.

If he doesn't buy it soon I might post it for sale in the classifieds.

I would like to order a BCB tank with internal pump by the end of the month to take advantage of their sale they have going currently. ;D

I was hoping that RecoilJunky would hurry up and buy the tank....that way that cash would help fund the BCB tank..... but his is draggin around.:-X;D

and........ I hope he sees this and is motivated ;D

10-4. I will price them. Mudstud, correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't you supposed to come down this way a week or so ago and meet up with 66alride? Let me know if/when you are going to be down this way and maybe we can get a group of us bronco folks to meet up and hang out a little.

Yes I was but I had to go to a fellow employee’s wife’s wake. She passed unexpectedly of a massive heart attack. I will give you and 66ALRIDE a heads-up next time I am in the area.

Did you ever come up with anything on the blower wheel that we talked about on the phone?

Heater box rebuild pics

Did you ever come up with anything on the blower wheel that we talked about on the phone?

Thanks for asking David. I haven't been on here much this week. I've been out of town for work.

But here are some pics of my heater box rebuild.

pic1: back plate of heater box and heater and defost flap/doors sanded cleaned up.
pic2 and pic3: another metal piece of box after priming
pic4: my finger pointing at a crack that I repaired in the plastic part of the heater box.
pic5 and 6: metal parts getting painted
pic7: most of my heater box parts hanging up, waiting for paint to dry

Bonus in pic2: my '70 mustang fastback that is in the middle of restoration

Explorer motor

Well, I was going thru some pics and thought I would post some of the explorer motor I picked up back in July. It came out of a 99/00 model. I had called a local junk yard to see about getting the brackets and accesories off the front of an Explorer. They said they had a bad engine that they would sell me the parts off of for $200, i told them to get the parts ready for me to pick up.

About an hour later I called them back and asked them if they had started pulling the parts yet and they had not. I then inquired about the cost of the whole engine. They talked to the boss and they said everything from intake to oil pan for $300....SOLD!!!!

Here is a pic of the engine and the brackets. I have pulled the brackets and accessories off the engine. I have media blasted the brackets and pressure washed them (see pics). Since I have cleaned them up, I have dropped them off at 66ALRIDE's shop for him to clear coat them for me. They will look real nice clear coated.

4X4X2 Steering with ram assist

I have also been trying to get ready to add power steering to my rig. I found a 78/79 F150 box, a '96 F150 box, and purchased a rebuild kit for it. I tore the box apart and drilled and tapped two holes for ram assist. I looked all over the place trying to find out where the best place to drill the box. I couldn't really find any exact measurements on where to drill. I took a chance and drill/tapped two holes in the box. It was the most common location to drill and tap that I could find.

Here are a couple of pics. If someone wants/needs the measurements or more pics, I can get them. The box is back together but I have not installed it in my bronco yet.

Ram assist

I had to trim down the fittings that screw into the box for ram assist. I was concerned about the distance the fitting went into the box and about the fittings sealing with the box. I first drilled and tapped the hole, screwed in the fitting, got an idea of about how much needed to trimmed off, removed fitting, trimmed, reinstalled,....then repeated these steps until I was satisified with the results.

23 gal tank I bought from cb member

Back around March 2010 I found a 23 gal tank for sale in the classifieds. A member that lives about 70 miles from me was selling it, I wanted/needed a tank.....so I bought it. It sat around for a while and I didn't do anything to it. It was a used tank and I wasn't happy with the apperance of the tank. So, I sanded the tank down, wiped it down with mineral spirits, primed it, and then sprayed it with a dupli-color bed liner in an aresol can.

Here are a few pics of it before being sanded down, after sanding, then finished product after painting. I sanded and painted the tank back around June/July/August 2010 (I can't remember exactly when...)

I planned on using this tank until I decided to install EFI. I told RecoilJunky that I was wanting to sell this tank so I could get one of Chuck's BCB EFI tanks with the fuel pumps in-tank. I waited around about two months for RecoilJunky to buy. Talked with him around 30 Dec 2010 about it again and he said he would buy it the coming weekend. With that info, I ordered my BCB tank 31 Dec 2010 so I would get the 10% Christmas discount. It should be on the way in another week or so. Talked to Roxanne at BCB last week and she said that the tanks were on backorder due to the amount of orders recieved during the sale. I hope RecoilJunky likes his new tank.

I will post pics of the BCB tank when i get it and during install.

Parts for EFI

I have been collecting parts for my EFI install. I purchased a RJM wiring harness the monday after Thanksgiving to get it at the sale price.

I found a deal on a A9P computer on craigslist. The seller and I couldn't ever get our schedules to work out so I could get it from him. It took about two months for our schedules to allow us to meet up but I got..... when i met up with him, he asked if I would like a mass air meter too......I said, how much? He said, You can just have it cause I don't have any use for it anymore and just want to get rid of it. SCORE!!! I needed it. I hope it works. I will clean it up before use of course.

And on to the pics........I know how all of us like pics!!!!!!!!!!;D%)

Currently I am still trying to collect a few more parts for my EFI install. I also got an E-Z Wiring harness for Christmas. It is a 21 or 22 circuit harness. I'm not exactly sure when I will get the E-Z harness and the EFI installed......hopefully it will be sooner than later.

My project has snowballed me just like many of ya'lls projects have done the same to you.

I am currently getting ready to install the following:
1. 4x4x2 Power Steering with ram assist
2. Explorer Serpt. Set up with Accesories
3. E-Z Wiring Harness
4. EFI with RJM Harness

I almost forgot.......

I also got a Deluxe Tuffy Security Radio Console for Christmas. I installed it two weeks ago. I don't have any pics of the install but I will take a few pics of it over the weekend and update this post.

I'll be up at the shop tomorrow morning until about 12. Lockjaw will be there too. Today was one of those days when I was ready to have a burnt orange Bronco. If you'll trade me the purple couch I'll finish up those brackets for you......;D Come on over tomorrow if you want to get your hands dirty. Also how is the heater working out?

66ALRIDE,

What happened today that was so bad? I would love to come over there but two things: 1. I just saw that you would only be there until 12......2. Been out of town all week and have some stuff I have to do around the house. If it wasn't for those two things I would be over there for sure.

As for the couch.....it is actually a black couch. I guess lighting or something made it turn out that way. It was/is a cheap couch. I got it for free ;D. You know me.....always looking for a deal %);D.

Heater is hooked up but I am not getting any power to the blower motor. I haven't found out what the problem is yet. I also found that the control valve under the hood that stops the flow of water through the heater core is leaking. I have to replace it soon. I'm not a fan of burning antifreeze smell.

I will try and get up with you this week sometime to hang out and catch up.

Thanks Nick! I am trying to make some progress slowly but surely. I installed my rebuilt heater box last weekend, but after the install I found out that I have a problem with getting power to my blower motor (aka the motor isn't working right now) I know it is a power problem. Hopefully I will get it fixed within the next week or so.
