Shifter linkage in place, looks good! My dad did not cut out as much as I thought! I do notice that this duff shifter can pop out of the shift rails. It only happens when trying to get it into 4L, the shifter will hit the radio buttons. Its not hard to pop it back in but wondering if this is common? sorry for the sideways photos

Next up bigger and beefier 1000 lb actuator to get the seat out, 400 lb didn't cut it, then new seats! still waiting on adapter plugs from junk yard....

Any updates Ryan? The shifter worth popping for?

I haven't personally shifted it but according to my dad it seams easier. My plugs for my seats just showed up this today. i'll be starting the process of putting my new seats back in later this week. Once those are back in i'll be on the road again and will report personally.

Well found out my $65 poorly built remote relay for my transfer base is broken. The relay that controls the in and out actuator is toast even though my larger actuator that draws more amps is working just fine. It took a lot of searching but I found a USA made relay with controller and the remote buttons match the directions of my actuators which will make it easier to remember what button does what. So i guess i'll work on other stuff until the switch shows up!

Got a little work done, this past week. Unbolted the lower seat tray. The tracks are wider than my corbeau seats so we removed the old mounting tabs. Im going to need to extend the arms on the base to support the outter tracks. I'll also need to cut the tracks down a bit and see if i can recess it somewhat in the base. Going to toss it back in the truck for a test fit, hopefully seat isn't too wide other wise I may have to lengthen my support arm to bring the base an inch or 2 into the vehicle. Right now its tight and I don't want the seat rubbing on the downward support/slide, fingers crossed....ps I hate my iPhone and sideways pictures

Did some minor test fitting and seat will fit. I have plenty of room between the door and seat controls, plus there's room on the other side and the seat won't rub on the slide that controls the up and down function. I will have to try and lower the seat in the tray, I think i can squeak out a whopping 1/2- 3/4" if i trim off the ends of the tracks where the mounting holes are and create a 1/4" notch for the slide to run through on the tray supports and contemplating on removing the 3/16" plate on the bottom of the tray. It looks a lot higher but the seat will lower a little bit more and the actual seat area is about 8" excluding the baffling which is similar to my old seats.

Ok, little update Ive been done with the seat install for awhile but slacking on getting photos up. I cut a few notches to allow the seat to sit more flush in the pan. I installed new mounting tabs and added another support that runs forward to the front to help stiffen up the base. The biggest problem I had was keeping the seats awake. I had to do some research but $12 in parts from eBay keeps the eats awake. See separate thread https://classicbroncos.com/forums/showthread.php?t=307581&page=3 my adventure begins on post #36

overall really happy how this turned out!
